WALFORD SHOCKER EastEnders fans spot huge clue actress has secretly LEFT the show

EASTENDERS fans are worried that they’re set to lose another one of the Knight’s after spotting a major clue.

It has already been revealed that Anna Knight, who is played by Molly Rainford and her on-screen half-brother Junior, who is portrayed by Micah Balfour, are both set to leave Albert Square in the next few months.

But now eagle-eyed BBC viewers have been left speculating that Gina Knight, who is played by Francesca Henry has also quit.

The actress, 30, has been confirmed for a brand new theatre show called Clause & Effect, alongside ex-EastEnders star Richard Blackwood.

The BBC usually have strict rules on what work the actors can do outside the show.

This has prompted fans to share their concerns that another Walford star may be potentially leaving the show.

One person shared a screengrab of the new theatre show’s poster and wrote: “NO we can’t lose Gina.”

A second posted: “Hoping it’s just a thing temporary thing (like Steve McFadden in panto break) and Francesca isn’t leaving.”

“All I can say is how much the writers and producers have failed these characters, it’s not in reflection of the actors it’s all on the EastEnders team,” a third shared.

Francesca has previously appeared in a number of theatre shows including Hamlet at Shakespeare’s Globe and Emily Webb in Our Town, so it does not come as a surprise that she would want to return to the stage.

However, a show insider has confirmed to The Sun that fans needn’t fear – as Francesca isn’t going anywhere.

They told us: “It’s really common for actors on EastEnders to work on other projects alongside the soap, and that’s exactly what Francesca is doing here.

“The character of Gina won’t go missing from screens, she is juggling the play with her filming commitments at Elstree.

“It’s no different to what several other cast members are doing at the moment – Steve McFadden, Ellie Dadd, Shane Richie and Emma Barton are all in panto this year, while Tameka Empson filmed The Celebrity Traitors earlier this year and Balvinder Sopal is doing Strictly at the same time as shooting the show. “

In June, The Sun revealed that Molly is leaving the soap after two years as new boss Ben Wadey makes sweeping changes.

The actress played Queen Vic barmaid Anna Knight and arrived in 2023 as part of the new family taking over the iconic boozer.

But just two years later discussions with bosses led to Strictly star Molly deciding to leave the show to pursue new opportunities.

A source said: “New boss Ben Wadey is making sweeping changes on the show and his decision coincided with Mollie deciding she wanted to pursue other challenges.

“She’s hugely talented and wants to spread her wings and see what else is out there for her.”

And just last month, The Sun revealed that Micah was also leaving and had already filmed his final scenes, which are likely to air over the next two months.

He only joined the show as Junior Knight, the estranged son of former Queen Vic landlord George (Colin Salmon), at the beginning of 2024.

But after enjoying a sizzling affair with his dad’s ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), his character has been quite low profile.

A source said: “Bosses decided not to renew Micah’s contract and he filmed his final scenes last month.

“Obviously Micah was gutted but he understands how it all works.

“His final scenes will air before Christmas. The door is being left open.”
