EMMERDALE star Claire King has revealed 2026 will be “life changing” for Kim Tate with a top secret storyline set to come.

The actress – who plays millionaire superbitch Kim in the ITV soap – has teased the upcoming plot that she says will “turn her world upside down”.

Speaking about Christmas, she said there will be an “action-packed” event as “Lydia and Kim’s friendship tested to the limit”.

“But it can be a happy time, or it can be a disastrous time, as there’s usually a birth or a death at this time of year. So, who knows what we’re getting this year?”

However once Christmas is out of the way, there is set to be a bombshell storyline that will change everything for Kim.

And Claire is looking forward to a break over the festive season in preparation for the huge storyline.

“I’m looking forward to a break at Christmas,” she said.

“I think we are all looking forward to it. I will need a break as there’s more drama in store for Kim, in the New Year, and this could turn her world upside down.

“It’s all very, very exciting and very secretive.”

While the bombshell plot has yet to be revealed, Kim is set for a miserable Christmas after discovering best friend Lydia Dingle was responsible for the death of her beloved horse Ice.

Ice was spooked by shooters on the Home Farm estate that had been brought in by Lydia and husband Sam to make extra cash behind Kim’s back.

Sadly he had to be put to sleep after sustaining a horrific injury.

The truth emerged after Kim told Lydia that she had changed her will to leave Home Farm to her.

It all became too much and Lydia confessed the truth, causing Kim to revert to type and push away those who care about her.

However with Christmas just days away there’s set to be a twist that changes things again.
