Coronation Street spoilers have hinted at an emotional farewell for one character after nearly two decades on the Cobble

Coronation Street spoilers have teased the end of the road for one character, as an imminent departure could be on the cards.

In forthcoming episodes of the ITV soap, it appears Aadi Alahan’s (Adam Hussain) reckless behaviour and criminal activities will finally catch up with him. Dev Alahan’s (Jimmi Harkishin) son is grappling with recent events and will turn to alcohol for solace.

His mounting debt, the staged robbery he orchestrated to steal from his own family, and his drug-induced actions leading to Lauren Bolton’s (Caitlin Fitton) injuries after a house party all contribute to his downward spiral.

Since then, Aadi’s life has been unravelling, with his relationship with Lauren based on deceit and his stepmother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) concealing his lies from the family while attempting to help him repay his debts.

The situation comes to a head next week, with spoilers suggesting a pivotal moment, reports the Mirror.

During a mishap at Dev and Bernie’s wedding that results in Bernie being rushed to the hospital in a critical condition, Aadi drowns his sorrows in alcohol. At this juncture, his relative Aunty Rani arrives, and having contributed financially towards the wedding, she is eager to monitor the expenditure.

Aadi is in a state of panic, aware that he’s trying to cut corners to recoup his losses. When things escalate with Bernie, the outcome remains uncertain – but the family are all summoned to the hospital.

In the subsequent episode, Aadi succumbs to stress and turns to alcohol. He suffers a fall and injures his head following an altercation with Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), indicating that Aadi is spiralling out of control.

Lauren, increasingly worried about her new partner, realises he’s avoiding her due to overwhelming guilt. When she sets out to find him and eventually locates him, she is unprepared for the shocking revelation he’s about to make.

Unable to continue deceiving her, Aadi confesses to Lauren about the LSD and how it was his drink spiked with the drug that she consumed, resulting in her severe injury. A photograph depicts Lauren’s horrified reaction, but how will she respond to Aadi’s deceit?

Eventually, Aadi resolves to disclose the truth and prepares himself to confess everything to his father Dev and the rest of his family. Viewers will have to watch the upcoming episodes to discover his reaction and what this implies for Aadi’s impending departure from the show.

Could Aadi face repercussions for his actions? Might he be forced to flee, or will he choose to relocate for a fresh start?

All will be unveiled soon. Aadi has been a part of the show since 2006, when Sunita introduced him and his twin sister Asha to viewers – and now, after 19 years, the character is set to leave.

Actor Adam Hussain had previously confirmed his departure from the role, indicating that Aadi’s exit was inevitable.
