REVENGE UNLEASHED: ABI TAKES DOWN CARL—AND RYAN IS NEXT ON HER HIT LIST!
Coronation Street‘s Carl Webster has seemingly escaped justice once again, after his shady actions were publicly exposed by his scorned lover Abi. But with multiple characters now baying for his blood, Carl’s retribution could be right around the corner.
In recent episodes, Abi discovered Carl’s affair with James Bailey and his plan to escape to Germany without her. After finding a bag full of cash in his car, Abi quickly replaced the notes with old newspapers and later confronted him about his infidelity.
The pair broke up and drunk Carl made his exit, before getting into a huge car crash with his sister Debbie in tow. The villain decided to frame an unconscious Debbie by moving her into the driving seat, and she willingly covered for him with the police, despite knowing the truth.
In tonight’s episode, a furious Carl cornered Abi, demanding to know where his missing money was. Abi gloated about Carl’s misfortune, believing the £18,000 was procured through his dodgy car thefts.
“You shouldn’t leave that kind of dosh lying about,” she teased, revealing that she had “invested it” in herself by paying off her debts and giving the rest to charity.

However, the smile was soon taken off her face when Carl admitted the money was actually Debbie’s – though he told her Debbie had knowingly lent it.
Unwilling to trust Carl, Abi headed straight to The Rovers to ask Debbie herself. But while Debbie was clearly heartbroken to discover Carl had been stealing from her, she decided to defend him again, at her own expense.
“He was desperate. Really desperate. He needed it,” she lied.
With her first revelation not having the desired effect, Abi then exposed Carl’s affair with James to the entire pub. The villain denied the claims but James apologetically admitted the truth, causing Carl to storm out after he was asked to leave.

Later, Abi visited her sister-in-law to apologise for unwittingly spending her money. She regretfully shared that she couldn’t pay her back as she didn’t have a job.
Debbie offered her an alternative solution, suggesting she go back to work with Kevin at the garage to “square” the debt, as he needs the help.
Meanwhile, Kevin assured Tyrone Dobbs that he would keep fighting to prove Carl was responsible for his hit-and-run accident. Later, the mechanic was visited by Ryan Connor who revealed his own desire to see Carl behind bars.
Ryan shared his theory that Carl had been stealing money from Debbie’s hotel, after manipulating her for control of the accounts. He explained that he has been gathering evidence with a plan to hand Carl to the police.
With so many people seeking revenge, will Debbie still be able to protect her beloved brother? Or will slippery Carl finally face the music?
