Coronation Street is set to deliver some nail-biting scenes next week as one character anxiously awaits his medical test results.

This week, Todd Grimshaw confides in Billy Mayhew about an upcoming hospital appointment for a bowel cancer check-up, but he has kept this information from his boyfriend Theo Silverton, who already has a lot on his plate

Billy agrees to accompany him and Todd promises to inform Theo once he receives his results.

However, spoilers for the following week reveal that Todd is privately worried about his test results, and shares with George Shuttleworth his plans to start arranging his own funeral, leaving George deeply concerned.

After sharing his worries with Christina Boyd, she encourages him to check Todd’s email where he discovers an email from the hospital confirming an appointment, reports the Daily Star.

Christina advises George to go with Todd and offer his support. In the waiting room, Todd appreciates having George by his side as he goes in to see the doctor.

Meanwhile, at the Bistro, Gary Windass and Theo meet with Peter to discuss a potential contract.

Upon seeing Summer Spellman and Billy, Theo approaches them expressing his concerns about Todd and suspecting that something is being kept from him.

Billy feels uncomfortable before receiving a call from Todd, stepping outside to take it. At the next table, a scheming Theo hides his anger and orders shots…

Later in the week, after receiving his results, a hungover Todd returns home to confront an angry Theo.

As he apologises to Theo for spending the night at Billy’s, insisting that nothing transpired, Pete steps out from the bathroom, leaving Todd shocked.

Theo, showing no remorse, accuses Todd of deceitfully going behind his back for days.

This prompts Todd to reveal his health scare, but when Theo manipulates the situation and attempts to blame Todd, Todd finally loses his patience and tells him to pack his things.

Later, at the Rovers, Glenda Shuttleworth is hosting a Mr and Mrs competition. Theo shows up and tries to initiate a conversation with Todd, but Todd refuses to engage.

As Theo settles down, Todd grabs Glenda’s clipboard, a plan brewing…
