NEW UPDATE! Emmerdale’s Robert and Ross unite to take down Joe for good
Emmerdale’s Ross Barton (Michael Parr) has a habit of looking busy at Home Farm without actually getting much done. He really needs to deliver this time round though, as he’s been given an opportunity to finally destroy Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
Joe has been a thorn in just about everybody’s side since the start of this year. After gaining video footage of the aftermath of Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) killing her brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), Joe used this as a blackmail weapon.
He told Vic and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) that he’d show the police the footage if they didn’t give him their family farmland.
Joe then forced Robert to plant some ID cards from Celia’s farm at Butler’s, once again telling him that he’d report Vic to the police if he didn’t comply.
The Sugden siblings lost their land as a result of Joe’s meddling, which led to Vic leaving the village.

No-one can find any evidence that proves Moira is innocent
Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) has been in prison for the majority of 2026 after DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) found the ID cards in her house. She’s also been charged with double murder, after Walsh found Celia and Anya’s bodies on her farmland.
Due to the fact no-one can find any evidence to prove she is innocent, Moira made the decision in tonight’s episode to plead guilty at her upcoming trial. She told Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that if she does, the amount of time she spends behind bars will be less than if she pleads not guilty.
With Moira stuck in prison and Cain stuck in hospital after being hit by a car, he needed someone else to keep an eye on the family. He called Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to the hospital and told him to step up and be head of the family while he’s recovering.
Back at Butler’s, Aaron updated Robert and said it’s important they now put their family first.
Robert – who has only secured his dream of becoming a farmer as a result of his and Joe’s meddling – felt awful when he heard about Moira pleading guilty.

He headed to Home Farm to update Joe who, unsurprisingly, didn’t really care about Moira going to prison.
Ross then arrived, and once again expressed how much he dislikes Joe. An idea started to form for Robert, and he asked Ross if he’d like to team up and bring Joe down a peg or two.
Given how haphazard Ross is at his current job, it’ll be a miracle if he pulls this off with Robert – but here’s hoping they actually manage to succeed.
