She captioned the post: “Fell over trying to stop Peggy bolting out the door while staying with friends in Norfolk bashed my knee , cuts and bruises.

“Staff were great , #efficient #kind despite apparently very low on hospital league table I would never have known from the service I got. Seems so unfair to label a hospital like this not great for morale as one of the lovely nurses said

“Also went to my local hospital @Finchleymemorialhospital who were great too ! So lucky to have them so near me. Happy Easter xx”

Ending the post, Collins explained how her injury would affect her scenes on the soap, saying she would be filming most of her scenes sitting down, writing: “Sitting down scenes this week!”

Taking to the comment section, fans wished Collins a speedy recovery, with one fan writing: “Sending love and prayers for quick healing.”

“Oh no !!! Wishing you better soon. Sending you healing energy,” penned another, with one fan saying: “Oh no. What a pain literally. Hope you get back to normal soon.”
