Coronation Street fans have had their questions answered as to where Trisha Marlow is amid Tim Metcalfe’s dark new storyline. Trisha, played by Anita Booth, arrived in the ITV soap last year as part of Tim’s historic grooming storyline.

It emerged that Trisha had groomed Tim when he was 14 years old, and she was in her 20s. Tim’s wife, Sally Metcalfe, has been doing everything she can to convince Tim that he had been groomed, despite his protestations that he hadn’t.

Tonight’s episode (6 April) saw Tim and Sally preparing Easter treats with the family, when Sally asked her husband if he had thought about getting in contact with Trisha.

She said she was listening to a podcast, and an expert explained that victims “shouldn’t be bottling things up”.

Tim was initially defensive and walked away from the conversation to hide Easter eggs in the garden. However, he was eventually given a tip-off as to Trisha’s whereabouts.

When he came back inside, Sally quickly shut her laptop so Tim couldn’t see what was on her screen.

He asked why she was using it on a Bank Holiday weekend. Sally admitted that even though Tim “told her to leave it”, she wanted to find out a bit more about Trisha, so she did her own research.

Tim said he wouldn’t track her down and “demand a showdown”, to which Sally responded by saying he wouldn’t need to. She told him that Trisha had been made Freshco employee of the month and would be easy to find.

Upcoming scenes in the soap will see the storyline take an even darker turn as Tim confronts his abuser face to face after confiding in Steve McDonald.

“Tim has come to realise that his relationship with Trisha when he was younger was wrong,” our Corrie source explains. “He feels that he can’t get closure without talking things through properly.

“Sally and Steve are both there to support Tim, but he feels that this is something he needs to do alone. When will Trisha make an appearance?”

Tim previously confronted his past following the recent revelations about Will Driscoll being groomed by his sports coach Megan Walsh.
