Coronation Street fans were left furious as ITV accidentally leaked a flashforward episode – claiming ‘someone is definitely getting fired!’ after the gaffe.

Viewers got a shock when the installment – which is set to air tonight – was briefly put on YouTube on Friday (February 13).

In particular, it sets up a gripping mystery with a grisly ending teased for one Weatherfield resident.

One person wrote on X: ‘Friday 13th and someone’s leaked a whole ep of corrie early, never a serious day on this app.’

Another agreed: ‘Someone at Corrie leaking Mondays episode on a Friday afternoon oh dear someone’s getting fired.’

A third remarked: ‘So sorry to whoever accidentally uploaded corrie’s monday episode early cause you are getting fired, on friday 13th of all days.’

While a fourth chimed in with: ‘Ooo someone getting fired at corrie.’

This episode puts the spotlight on Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey, and Carl Webster, all of whom could have deadly motives or secrets.

The episode kicks off with a tense police interview set on April 23, 2026.

Betsy Swain, wearing wedding clothes after attending her mum Lisa’s marriage to Carla Connor, surprises detectives by reporting the discovery of a dead body of someone she knows.

From there, Betsy explains that she was at a wedding but had been heading into town when she found the body.

As the narrative rewinds to the present, the show explores how the actions of the five characters could put them in danger months later.

Megan is caught in a web of lies as she continues to manipulate impressionable teen Will Driscoll.

It raises the question of will her secrets might lead to her demise?

Maggie, fiercely protective of her family, faces potential risk herself after giving a fake alibi for Will to stop him being charged with the Christmas Day attack on Daniel Osbourne.

If she were to discover the truth about Megan and Will could she end up in danger herself?

Meanwhile Carl Webster has alienated everyone around him, including Debbie, who was wrongly blamed for a fatal accident he caused, leaving Carl with plenty of enemies.

Since finding out Debbie is actually his mum and not his sister he has pressed the self-destruct button.

There is more than one person who would be glad to see the back of him.

Theo Silverton’s controlling relationship with Todd intensifies, and with their wedding looming, it’s unclear whether Todd will speak out about what’s really been going on.

Maybe he wants to put an end to the torture or could someone take the law into their own hands?

Jodie Ramsey, Shona’s estranged sister, brings a mysterious past with her into the Platt household.

Her secrets could ignite trouble both at home and in the wider community.

Will trouble follow Jodie to Weatherfield, or could she upset people closer to home with her behaviour?

As the story fast-forwards to April 23, all five characters appear on the cobbles during Lisa and Carla’s wedding fireworks.

Carl is battered and bruised, Jodie appears frantic, Maggie stands menacing, Megan bears a bloody nose, and Theo looks furtive and anxious.

The tension escalates as the night sky lights up with fireworks, contrasting the darkness surrounding the characters’ fates.

In the final moments the scream of Betsy Swain fills the air – but which Weatherfield resident will breathe their last?

The episode is available to stream now on ITVX and airs tonight at 8.30pm on ITV, with repeats on STV.
