JUSTICE SERVED: A NATION REJOICES AS BECKY IS FINALLY TAKEN DOWN IN BRUTAL CORRIEDALE TWIST!
Though Corriedale was packed with stunts, explosions and even an engagement, nothing made the crowd cheer at the premiere quite like Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) revealing the handcuff around Becky Swain’s (Amy Cudden) wrist.
It was a moment that will surely go down in soap history, as not-dead Becky finally faced her comeuppance.
She’s been an absolute menace over the past few months, from breaking up Swarla to attacking DI Costello (Daon Broni), kidnapping Carla Connor (Alison King) to firebombing her family’s home. And did we mention that she BROKE UP SWARLA?
We’ve spent weeks urging Lisa to see Becky’s true colours, cheering on Carla as she attempted to escape her delusional love-rival’s airing cupboard. And tonight, it was finally worth it.
We kicked off the Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover with Carla having been rescued, and sharing what little information she’d managed to glean from her search of Becky’s flat with Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
From there, it was a race to the ferry port to stop Becky leaving the country.

However, fate had its own ideas, and soon the Swains were at the centre of a multi-car pile-up, which left Lisa’s life hanging in the balance when a fire spread close to the car.
Thankfully, our favourite Corrie and Emmerdale characters banded together to move the car, and Lisa was safely loaded into an ambulance.
With the same level of audacity she has maintained since her arrival, Becky was all set to just walk away, but Carla wasn’t going to let that happen.
She stopped her in her tracks, forcing her to face questions from a confused Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin). As Becky explained that she wanted things to work out, but needed to go away again, Lisa summoned her into the ambulance.

As Becky confessed her undying love and leaned in to kiss Lisa, she was shocked when Lisa brutally turned her head away.
That had nothing on the surprise she got next, as Lisa handcuffed her and began reading her rights.
It was perfect poetic justice to see Carla comforting Betsy while Lisa detailed Becky’s crimes, and made it clear that she wasn’t going to get away with it.
Will Carla and Lisa be able to rekindle their relationship now that Becky is out of the picture, or will they have more obstacles to overcome?
