Is Anthony Trueman d.e.a.d on EastEnders? True k.i.l.l.e.r ‘exposed’ in shock twist
Anthony Trueman is a longstanding character on EastEnders – but could he have met his maker? Nicholas Bailey reprised his role back in Walford earlier this year, over a decade after he last appeared in Albert Square.
Back in 2014, Anthony rushed to his dad Patrick’s side when he suffered a stroke. A visit to Walford for his dad’s nuptials led him to stay permanently and since then, we’ve found out that he is the father of Zoe Slater’s adopted twins.
In a surprise turn of events, Jasmine was revealed to be Zoe and Anthony’s long lost daughter – and now her secret son has got in touch, with more secrets set to be exposed no doubt in the coming weeks.
In dramatic scenes this evening, as Zoe accused Anthony of sending her a letter pretending to be from her long lost son, she confronted him and told him she wanted him gone.
“Nothing is coming between me and my kids,” she told him as a physical fight ensued between the pair and Zoe was knocked out. Upstairs in the Queen Vic, Kat was horrified to see Zoe with a head injury – but she seemed ok.

Kat asked Zoe what she had done as the camera panned to a lifeless Anthony on the floor. Is Anthony alive – or is he dead, and who killed him? It looks like Zoe was the one to kill Anthony but could someone else have seen to his end in a shock twist?
Anthony made his return to Walford a few months ago when he came back. It has been nothing but drama since he made his return, with multiple twists and lies exposed from Anthony’s past – and that of those connected to him.
Speaking back in the summer when he made his return, Nicolas said: “It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I’m full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony. It’s wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again – he’s such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long. I’m excited to see what the passage of time has done to Anthony and explore his relationship with Patrick at this stage in their lives.”
EastEnders Executive Producer Ben Wadey added at the time: “It’s great to welcome Nicholas back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son. But Anthony’s plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.”
