HOTTEST NEWS TODAY!!! Casualty officially confirms return date ahead of “make-or-break” inspection episode
Casualty has officially confirmed its return date after a short break from screens. The BBC soap has been off air in the past week – last Saturday taking a pause due to the Big Night of Musicals on BBC One.
That continues this weekend because of the FA Cup quarter finals, though fans will be pleased to hear that the show will be back the following Saturday (11 April).
Casualty is in the middle of its ‘Learning Curve’ boxset, which has seen the ED under threat after failing two crucial CQC safety inspections. It comes after Matty’s anonymous call, with the department currently banned from taking in emergency patients in the evenings.
When the soap returns with the penultimate episode of the boxset, the ED “faces a make-or-break CQC inspection”.
The synopsis adds: “Can Kim keep her secret or will she spiral out of control, and will Siobhan’s search for answers lead her to the truth?”
Kim has been secretly struggling with an eating disorder, though amid her spiral she has managed to open-up to Matty about her past, having received in-patient treatment previously.
However, she hit back when he encouraged her to seek help, even threatening to reveal to everyone that he was the one who secretly called the CQC.
Kim’s struggles then exacerbated when she took a patient’s weight loss injections for herself – will she get the help she desperately needs?
Meanwhile, Siobhan was shocked when Cam was admitted to the ED after he tried to take revenge on her rapist Chris, and was forced to rethink how she moves forward.
Chris was arrested over the attack, and while Siobhan requested time off ahead of the inspection, she told Flynn she needed to do something first – do her plans involve Chris?
