Home and Away is bringing back fan favourites Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen to revisit one of the soap’s most loved storylines.

Home and Away is set to revisit one of its most enduring storylines, with fan favourite characters Brax Braxton and Ricky Sharpe returning to Summer Bay for a special run of episodes, a decade after their on-screen departure.

A full ten years after viewers last saw Brax (Stephen Peacocke) and Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) drive away from the Bay, the long-standing fan favourites are making their way back to the long-running drama. The upcoming episodes mark the first time the pair have appeared together on the series since their emotional exit, which remains one of the show’s most memorable story arcs.

The relationship between Brax and Ricky has continued to resonate with audiences, with fans speculating for years about where life might have taken the former River Boy and his partner. That question is about to be answered, with the series heading beyond its usual coastal setting and into Western Australia for the storyline.

Filmed last October, production took place from Perth through to the red outback and along the Coral Coast, with the episodes produced in partnership with Tourism Western Australia. The setting marks a significant shift from Summer Bay, placing the characters in a remote and rugged landscape far removed from their past.

The storyline reveals Brax now working on an isolated cattle station deep in the outback. Alongside Ricky and their son Casey (Austin Cutcliffe), the family has quietly built a new life in hiding, deliberately distancing themselves from the turmoil they left behind.

That calm existence, however, is short-lived. A crisis originating in Summer Bay finds its way to Brax’s doorstep, forcing him to confront old loyalties. While Ricky is wary of putting their hard-won stability at risk, Brax is torn between protecting his family and answering the call of his River Boy past.

The tension centres on whether the ties that once defined Brax’s life can truly be left behind. As the show revisits the mantra once a River Boy, always a River Boy, the couple’s outback refuge is placed firmly under threat.
