GET GONE EastEnders fans beg for two ‘abysmal’ characters to be killed off as they plead ‘enough is enough’
EASTENDERS fans have been left begging for two characters to be killed off the show – and have branded them “abysmal”.
Disgruntled fans have taken to social media to air their thoughts on Johnny Carter and Elaine Peacock and have insisted they must be killed off in a series of scathing comments.
Unhappy with their recent show appearances, many have suggested that the characters have outstayed their welcome and should be booted from Walford for good.
Taking to X online, one unhappy fan said: “I’m begging for a double exit in matching body bags.
“The square has never seen two more abysmal characters. Enough is Enough.”
Someone else echoed this, stating: “Yes please. Especially the pantomime dame!”

As a third went on to say: “Let’s kill them both off on the same night and get out Linda back on the booze.”
Johnny Carter and Elaine Peacock have been mainstays on EastEnders for some time.
Johnny was originally played by Sam Strike between December 2013 and December 2014.
The character was re-introduced in 2016 played by Ted Reilly but he also departed the role after two years.
Charlie Suff then joined the soap in February 2024 playing the character and has remained ever since.
Similarly, the character of Elaine has also undergone a recast in a bid to rejuvenate the character.
Elaine was originally played by Maria Friedman on and off from October 2014 until June 2017.
Harriett Thorpe was then brought in to take over the role in 2023 as the new matriarch of the then newly-established Knight clan.
