EastEnders has delivered thrilling developments for one separated couple in Walford after a rocky beginning to their marriage.

Formidable matriarch Suki Panesar, portrayed by Balvinder Sopal, and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) only exchanged vows at the start of the year, yet their relationship has recently fallen apart.

Former legal professional Eve uncovered that her spouse had been coercing teenager Avani, portrayed by Aaliyah James, into continuing with her pregnancy beyond the point where termination would be possible.

This formed part of Suki’s strategy to bring up schoolgirl Avani’s baby as her own, giving her a fresh opportunity at motherhood, whilst the remainder of the family remained unaware of her plotting and the pregnancy itself.

Yet when Eve uncovered the reality, she informed Avani’s parents, Ravi, played by Aaron Thiara, and Priya, portrayed by Sophie Khan Levy, along with the Panesar family, who were left absolutely furious, reports OK!

Eve also stood by Avani through a termination, which made Suki absolutely livid.

As the married pair clashed over Suki’s strategy to bring up Avani’s child, it was Eve who gathered her belongings and departed the family residence.

Prior to Eve’s departure, she told Suki: “I don’t know what we’ve got left”, as they gazed at each other emotionally.

Nevertheless, romance might be returning for Suki and Eve, as they talked through their future, including aspirations to start a family.

During Tuesday’s trip to Walford (October 7), the pair enjoyed a sincere conversation at The Prince Albert where Eve announced she wishes to adopt a child with Suki.

She revealed: “So I never thought about having kids. As I said it wasn’t an option for me, and it wasn’t ever likely that I’d get accidently pregnant.

“And then seeing how absolutely terrible my mother was with me, but then for a few days you got in my head. I got a picture of me as a mum and I liked it.”

Suki interjected, saying: “Eve, I’m so sorry”, as Eve continued: “No, that’s what I mean when I say loving you isn’t enough. I want to love a child of my own, our own.”

Eve went on to say: “I love you and I want to be with you, but I can’t put a lid on it. I want us to adopt.”

Suki appeared shocked at Eve’s revelation, but failed to give any clear response.

Will Suki and Eve find their happily ever after and start a family of their own? Only time will tell.
