Joe Tate’s days could be numbered on Emmerdale after his latest cruel plan.

Fans saw him targeting the Sugdens on Wednesday night, after he spotted Victoria killing her brother John Sugden. Victoria has killed him in self-defence after he turned on her.

She didn’t mean to kill him, but fled the scene. She had no idea Joe happened to record the entire thing, with him now threatening to expose the crime. In horrifying scenes on Wednesday, fans of the ITV soap witnessed Joe telling Victoria and her brother Robert that he wanted the farm.

He claimed he wouldn’t pay a penny for it, and that if they didn’t hand it over he’d go to the police with the video. Making matters worse, later we saw him change the plan slightly.

He gave Robert the choice between giving him the farm for free, or getting some money for it – but at a cost. Joe told Robert he needed to plant evidence rom Celia Daniels’ home in Moira Dingle’s house.

Clearly still keen to grab her land too, Joe is targeting Moira as well as the Sugdens. Robert was sickened, and fans were also furious with his latest plan.

Taking to social media, fans commented that it was too far, and that Joe had to face some sort of comeuppance. As one fans called for certain characters to take him down, including Graham Foster and Aaron Dingle, others called for Joe to leave the village.

One viewer posted: “Hopefully Graham will sort him out. How he’s gotten away with everything is beyond me. OG Kim would never have forgiven him. I want to see Kim and Graham humiliate him, how has he gotten so much passed Kim!”

Another fan wrote: “You’d have thought being chucked from a window would have made him stop being so evil. Need Graham put him in his place or Aaron or Cain.” A third fan said: “Yep I hate him. Hope he leaves soon.”

A fourth viewer commented: “He is pure scum and I sincerely hope Robert finds a way to destroy him!” Meanwhile, a fifth fan said: “I love/hate Joe so much but this latest plan of his I really don’t like.

“John could have hurt her, she was defending herself against a monster and to blackmail her over that is just cruel. I don’t see any way back for Joe after this because if he gets the farm or exposes Victoria then either way, h’es done something unforgivable and I think someone will want revenge.”
