Dear, sweet Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), EastEnders’ very own ray of sunshine.

Things haven’t been the easiest for her recently, though, not since acquiring herself a brand new bestie in the form of creepy Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona), who’s presence in Walford is, technically, due to Honey herself.

Attending a high school reunion alongside Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) brought them into Bea’s orbit, and after a case of crossed clutch bags, Bea found herself being taken in by Linda, perhaps on a mission to atone for picking on her back in their school days.

When Bea set out to find employment on the Square, a rejection from Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) pushed her toward the Minute Mart, where she faked a robbery, impressing manager Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) and securing herself a job, alongside Honey.

As she set out to get closer to Honey, she spotted her chance after she was injured at work and coldly dismissed by both Vinny and Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal).

With the help of a stolen bottle of vino, Bea began to devise a plot that would see Honey sue Suki for an absolute fortune, initially for workplace negligence and, when Honey drunkenly revealed that Suki had once tried to kiss her, for sexual harassment.

When Honey drafted an aggressive email to Suki and accidentally sent it, both Honey and Bea found themselves without a job. Bea, however, managed to fenagle Honey back into her position, but couldn’t get her own job back.

Guilt-ridden at Bea’s loss of income and disheartened by her feelings of alienation at Elaine Peacock’s (Harriet Thorpe) boutique hotel/not a B&B, Honey and Billy agreed to let her house sit while they went away on holiday.

While Bea has applied for a credit card in Honey’s name, Billy’s discomfort at her presence has increased upon his return from holiday, sans Honey.

Next week sees Honey return home where she’s immediately smothered by an overbearing Bea.

Clearly troubled, Billy presses Honey as to what’s wrong and she reveals that she thinks she’s starting the menopause. Between them, they agree that Bea should move out, though, when Honey gently delivers the message, she’s completely unaware that a furious Bea heads straight to McClunky’s and trashes the place.
