EastEnders drops huge Tanya Branning bombshell in Max reveal

EastEnders has dropped a huge Tanya Branning bombshell, revealing that Max Branning recently got into hot water with his ex-wife.

Tanya hasn’t been seen in Walford since her departure in 2018, but in tonight’s episode we learnt a little bit about how life has been for Max’s ex-wife.

In today’s episode, the Beales and the Brannings prepared to celebrate Jimmy’s christening. Lauren told her dad that it would be best if he didn’t come due to Cindy’s involvement. However, Lauren reinstated Max’s invitation after he turned up with a thoughtful gift for Jimmy.

After Lauren revealed that Tanya wouldn’t be coming to the Christening, Jack decided to ring his former sister-in-law to find out why. Tanya told Jack she was looking after granddaughter AJ, also revealing that Max had previously left AJ on her own to hook up with a woman.

After Jack told Max he just got off the phone to Tanya, Max said: “Listen, Tanya hates me, alright. She’s trying to shut me out, ain’t she?”

“You left your seven-year-old grandkid on her own”, Jack raged, adding that Max had gone to be with “some other woman”.

“AJ’s lively, yeah, she runs off! That’s just lies anyway,” Max said in an attempt to blame his granddaughter.

“Oh, what, so AJ didn’t go missing for a whole night?”, Jack asked, while a shocked Lauren looked on as Max continued to shift the blame.

“I was looking after her, it was five minutes, Jack, five minutes. I went to help a neighbour, she had a spider in her hallway,” Max said.

BBC”All I got to do is look at a woman and Tanya thinks I’m sleeping with her. This could have happened to Tanya. AJ is wild, all right? She gets into loads of scrapes,” he added.

Things escalated and Max challenged Jack to “take this outside” after he dropped him in it with Lauren.

Following this, Lauren decided to un-invite Max again, saying: “You are not coming to the christening. Get out.”

Cindy was then free to attend, but Max decided to go anyway, sneaking in and surprising Cindy. The enemies were unaware of each other’s identities despite sleeping with each other on Christmas Day.
