EastEnders’ Callum’s horrific ordeal confirmed as set-up could see him lose it all
EastEnders’ Tim Walton (Tom Ratcliffe) has always been a bit of a slimy so-and-so, hasn’t he?
Although, his dedication to bag a night with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) could be seen as admirable…to other slimy so-and-so’s.
Tim stepped in as Johnny’s former client-turned-saviour last year. As Johnny struggled to find his feet after losing his job, both grandma Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) and boyfriend Callum Highway (Tony Clay) encouraged him to pursue a business relationship with Tim, who promised to invest in a new law firm for him.
Though Elaine was utterly charmed by Tim, Callum quite quickly saw through the champagne and glamour, becoming acutely aware that Tim wanted to give Johnny more than just a business deal, though with the contracts signed, Tim left without making too obvious a move.
When he reappeared recently, he had little interest in Johnny and turned his sleaze toward Callum, hoping he could access the criminal record of a business competitor. Ever virtuous, Callum refused, point blank period.

Though the collision caused insecurities and raw feelings to bubble up between Johnny and Callum, they found their way back together and back on the right path…until an incredibly shady looking guy handed Callum an address and told him that a USB located there needed to be found and destroyed, less his ex-husband Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) face an even longer stretch inside.
Turning to Ben’s mum and brother, Ian and Kathy Beale (Adam Woodyatt and Gillian Taylforth), torn over what to do, Callum initially determines to stay out of the situation, until Kathy urges him to do it for Lexi Pearce (Isabelle Brown).
Elsewhere, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) worries that Johnny will become collateral damage in the seemingly endless Ballum saga and it seems that’ll be the case when Callum and the Beale’s head to the address where he realises that he’s fallen victims to Tim’s machinations.

Back home, Johnny is utterly furious that Callum even turned up to the address, and things go from worse to God-awful when Tim arrives, armed with footage of Callum preparing to break the law.
Dripping with smarmy glee, Tim makes it perfectly clear: he’s going to blackmail Callum.
