EastEnders’ Bea Pollard gatecrashes another TV show – but there’s a catch
Vanessa Feltz’s Channel 5 chat show fell victim to a prank caller earlier this week, one who will sound very familiar to Eastenders’ fans. On Monday (March 23), Vanessa aired a segment about school reunions in which viewers were invited to call in and talk about their experiences at the events.
One caller identified herself as ‘Bea from London’ and went on to share a story mimicking the experiences of Ronni Ancona’s EastEnders character Bea Pollard.
‘Bea’ told the show (via The Sun): “One thing I noticed was that people from school were exactly the same, one group, I used to call them the pink ladies, they were popular, I noticed they still acted the same now.
“One of them I did get chatting to, let’s call her Linda, she invited me to stay with her a bit because she felt bad. We kind of connected. Everybody else I didn’t really speak to again and they were very similar.
“Some of them did laugh at me and stuff because I used to make these little crochet dolls and they brought it up then. I don’t think they were being vicious but when you’ve got a lifetime memory of it you think I wouldn’t go again.”
Eastenders fans will remember that Bea’s introduction in the soap saw her bump into Linda at their school reunion, after Honey had stolen her identity for the night.
Bea accused Linda of bullying her during her teen years which led Linda to eventually take pity on Bea and bring her to Walford after she was kicked out of her apartment.
Eastenders fans on social media loved the prank call after it was shared by a fan on X who wrote: “Obsessed with Bea from EastEnders using Honey’s landline to ring Vanessa Feltz.”
In recent weeks, Eastenders fans have seen Bea trying to move into Honey Mitchell’s life, after staying in her friend’s home while she was away with her family.
Unbeknownst to Honey, Bea also applied for a credit card in her name and has been racking up debt while trying to impress her friends and Honey’s son Will.
But when Honey’s husband Billy found himself home alone with Bea he decided it was time for the couple to ask her to move out, especially after she convinced Will to take on a Saturday job.
The news didn’t go down very well with Bea, who ended up trashing her new workplace, McKlunky’s, in anger. It remains to be seen if Honey will again take pity on her pal or if she’ll become the victim of Bea’s latest vendetta.
