Coronation Street ‘to bring back’ Bradley Walsh as fans ‘work out’ return twist
Coronation Street fans reckon Bradley Walsh might be making his way back to the cobbles almost two decades after his departure.
Bradley became part of the beloved ITV soap in 2004, portraying Danny Baldwin, the offspring of iconic character Mike (Johnny Briggs).
Initially, he was under the impression that Mike’s sibling Harry was his biological father until Harry’s passing. Danny swiftly captured viewers’ attention upon arriving in Weatherfield to assist his father, whom he initially believed to be his uncle, in managing Underworld.
The character became deeply involved in numerous major storylines that kept audiences gripped, reports the Daily Star.

His time on the cobbles was packed with explosive moments, from shocking romantic entanglements, including a controversial liaison with his son’s partner Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), to questionable business ventures.
Nevertheless, Bradley departed the cobbles in 2006 following a two-year run. His character Danny traded Weatherfield for a fresh start in Spain after offloading his factory shares to Paul Connor (Sean Gallagher).
Following his exit, Bradley has maintained a constant presence on television, featuring in programmes such as The Chase, Blankety Blank and Bradley and Barney: Breaking dad.

However, 19 years since his final appearance on the programme, Bradley might be staging a comeback, according to devoted viewers.
In a Coronation Street Facebook fan community, one individual speculated: “Bradley Walsh said a few years back that he wouldn’t rule out a return to the street so what could happen if they brought his character back.”
Another fan expressed: “I’d love to see him come back!” A third echoed the sentiment: “Same here even if for a short-term stint.”

Adding to the chorus, another viewer noted: “His character has connections to the street (Adam is his half-brother) and I could see it being very popular.”
Bradley mused about a potential return to Coronation Street in 2014 during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.
“I don’t know, you know what it’s like, you never know the circumstances, you never know what’s going to happen, you never know what’s around the corner other than more corners.”
He also shared that he was advised not to abandon the role by Bill Tarmey, who played Jack Duckworth on the soap. He recalled: “The great Bill Tarmey, who played Jack Duckworth, said to me ‘always remember lad, don’t get killed off, it’ll be your pension.”
