Coronation Street star says ‘bye bye’ to ‘creepy’ character as he confirms exit
A Coronation Street star as said ‘bye bye’ to their ‘creepy’ character as they confirmed their final scenes have aired.
Richard Winsor has seemingly confirmed there is no twist after Noah Hedley was revealed to have died in a shock announcement in the ITV soap.
Those who follow the long-running show were first introduced to Noah back in May. He first appeared when his past connection with Theo Silverton, also a Weatherfield newcomer having arrived back in March, was revealed.
After being shocked by his appearance on the Street, Theo explained to his new partner, Todd Grimshaw, that Noah was a man from his church who had subjected him to conversion therapy.
During Monday’s (September 22) Corrie, viewers saw that it was an intense day for Theo, who was preparing to head to court to find out whether he would be blocked from seeing his kids following recent events.
Theo was accused of an attack on Noah, which was actually carried out by his new pal, Gary Windass, who was enraged by what he was told about Noah.
Then, in an attempt to make Theo’s life more difficult, Noah recently started dating Theo’s ex-wife, Danielle, and has been manipulating Theo’s children, Millie and Miles, against their dad, with a confrontation leading to Theo accidentally punching Miles.
The day had come for Theo to take to the stand, but Danielle wasn’t there to make things easy for him. Neither was Noah, as in the public gallery he goaded Todd until he snapped at him, leaving him being ordered out of the courtroom.
Later on at home, Theo revealed that he had been granted access to his children and he and Todd headed to celebrate at the Bistro but things took a sour turn when Noah showed up, informing them that Danielle is appealing the judge’s decision.
As Noah kept making homophobic comments, Todd, again, was wound up and keeping his cool. Theo stepped in and told Noah he was “nothing” to him and that he’d better leave.
They eventually got their time alone, before being joined by Dee-Dee Bailey and Summer Spellman. But the moment was once again ruined, as Danielle burst into the restaurant in bits, while yelling at Theo.
“What did you do to him?” she questioned, before telling the couple Noah had a heart attack. Theo tried to console Danielle, and make it clear that they had nothing to do with what happened to Noah.
Once back at home, Theo opened up to Todd, revealing his friendship with Noah. “He wasn’t always the bad guy,” Theo said. “He was my friend. Maybe the best friend I’ve ever had,” he added, before admitting he loved him.
Corrie fans were quick to ponder whether Noah’s death was genuine, with it taking place off-screen. However, Richard has confirmed the end of his time on the famous Street.
Taking to Instagram, the former Casualty star shared photos of himself outside of the famous Rovers Return as well as alongside Gareth Pierce and James Cartwright, who play Todd and Theo in the soap.
Alongside the post, Richard wrote: “Bye bye Noah, you creepy f**ker!! Was an absolute pleasure being on the cobbles and working with @garpierce @danielbrocklebank, James Cartwright and the entire @coronationstreet team!”
