Coronation Street spoilers as Todd snaps, Tyrone’s health suffers and Abi’s ‘sabotaged’

Todd Grimshaw reaches breaking point in next week’s Coronation Street while Tyrone Dobbs’ health is a worry and Abi Webster believes her next step has been ‘sabotaged’.

Starting with the latter, and fans of the ITV soap are aware that Abi has called time on her marriage to Kevin Webster, as she’s fallen for his half-brother, Carl Webster, during their secret affair.

In upcoming scenes, Kevin will be seen receiving a text from Abi asking him if he’d like to mind her son, Alfie. When the mechanic arrives to collect him, Abi sees how angry and upset Kevin is and changes her mind, asserting that he can have Alfie another day instead.

Once outside, Kevin breaks down in tears, feeling like he is losing his family. But emotions soon turn to anger as, having taken a call from the rival garage she’d applied for a job at, Abi tells Roy Cropper that she didn’t get the job.

Believing there was third party involvement in her job reaction, Abi barges her way into No.13 and accuses Kevin of sabotaging her chances.

Elsewhere, Cassie Plummer helps her son, Tyrone Dobbs, with his exercises as he continues his rehab having been the victim of a shock hit and run last month.

But when she receives a text from Steve McDonald, she’s quick to escape. At the Barlows, Tracy’s fuming to find they’ve drunk Ken’s last bottle of wine from his first wedding to his late wife, Deirdre.

Meanwhile, on the street, Fiz Dobbs reaches a decision and rather than heading home, she asks Tim Metcalfe to drive her into town. But when Cassie returns to No.9, she’s horrified to find Tyrone lying in agony on the floor having fallen out of his wheelchair.

As the week progresses, Cassie’s hurt as Fiz continues to blank her. But when she finds out from Sally Metcalfe that Carla Connor has given Fiz the week off to look after Tyrone, she realises that Fiz was lying when she said she had to run a factory errand.

It soon becomes clear that Tracy’s sick of Cassie, lounging round the house and having heard Tyrone’s conversations with Fiz about her favourite band, Tracy’s hit with an idea.

Handing Cassie tickets for a gig, Tracy explains that they’re Fiz’s favourite band and that she can use them to buy her way back into her good books and with a bit of luck they’ll be out of each other’s hair.

Also on the Street, secretly worried about his test results, Todd confides in George Shuttleworth that he’s going to start putting plans in place for his own funeral, leaving him troubled.

On Christina Boyd’s advice, George checks Todd’s emails and finds one from the hospital confirming an appointment. Christina urges George to go along and lend Todd his support.Coronation Street spoilers as Todd snaps, Tyrone's health suffers and Abi's 'sabotaged' - Manchester Evening News

Meanwhile, in the Bistro, Gary Windass and Theo Silverton sit down with Peter to discuss a potential contract. Spotting Billy Mayhew and Summer Spellman, Theo heads over and tells them he’s worried about Todd and fears there’s something he’s not telling him, leaving Billy to squirm.

At the hospital, in the waiting room, Todd is grateful to have George there as he heads in to see the doctor. When Billy takes a call from Todd, he dashes outside so he can hear and at the next table, Theo masks his fury and orders shots.

The following a day, nursing a hangover, Todd heads home to face the wrath of Theo. As he apologises to Theo for staying the night at Billy’s, he swears nothing happened but is shocked when Peter emerges from the bathroom.

Theo’s unrepentant, accusing Todd of sneaking around behind his back for days. Eventually, Todd comes clean about his health scare but when Theo twists the situation and tries to blame Todd, Todd finally snaps and orders him to pack his bags.

In the Rovers, Glenda Shuttleworth hosts a Mr & Mrs competition. When Theo arrives and tells Todd they need to talk, Todd refuses to engage and as Theo takes a seat, Todd reaches for Glenda’s clipboard, an idea clearly forming.

Also on the cobbles, Audrey Roberts offers great-granddaughter Bethany Platt some shifts at the salon doing nails. When Shona Platt takes a call from her husband, David, informing her that he’s stuck in a lift and won’t make the scan, Shona’s beside herself, but Bethany has an idea.

Later, Bethany starts at the salon and is put in charge of Hope Dobbs, who’s on work experience. When a client shows them some miracle pills that promise strong hair, nails and weight loss, Hope’s impressed.

But following her own traumatic botched surgery as an example, Bethany explains these companies are simply after your money and don’t give a damn about your health.

Once the client goes to leave, drama ensues as she realises her pills are missing. Bethany accuses Hope and orders her to empty her bag. Hope refuses and as Bethany tries to grab the bag, her stoma splits.
