Coronation Street ‘confirms’ who saves Will from sex predator Megan

Coronation Street predator Megan (Beth Nixon) has convinced Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) that they are in love, to the point that he was willing to move back to Hull alone to be with her in tonight’s episode.

Since moving to Weatherfield, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) and Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) have had trouble keeping Will under their roof, with the teen having run off on several occasions.

Tonight, Megan brought him back to the pub, after he told his family that he was at an athletics meet in Leeds. In reality, the pair had been secretly spending time together.

However, things ended on a disappointing note for Will as Megan announced that they should break up, as they wouldn’t be able to maintain a ‘relationship’ over a long distance.

When Megan later ran into Ben on the cobbles, he was keen to show his gratitude for getting Will home safely, and Megan reluctantly accepted an invite to dinner.

The meal was very awkward as the Driscolls questioned Will about his love life, with the teen making pointed comments about Megan while she sat opposite him.

Once Megan had left, Will told Ben and Eva that he wanted to go back to his old school and carry on with his Athletics.

Ben and Eva discussed the logistics of Will spending the weekdays in Hull, and though Eva was against the idea, Ben put his foot down and decided that he would go along with Will’s request.

However, Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) wasn’t having any of it, and teamed up with Eva to come up with an alternative solution.

As Ben gave Will the good news, Maggie and Eva interrupted with Megan in tow, and announced that they would be paying her to give Will private training sessions twice a week.

This left Will thrilled, and it was clear that Megan was prepared to continue with their ‘relationship’ as the pair met in the ginnel again that evening.

However, they were briefly interrupted by Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) as he left the pub.

Tim had had a tough day himself, after Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) found out that he had been scrolling through Trisha Pinkerton’s (Anita Booth) social media.

Viewers will recall that Trisha had groomed Tim as a child, having slept with him when he was just 14, while she was in her 20s.

Sally and Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) were both keen to make Tim see the situation for what it was, but he was adamant that he hadn’t been groomed and that it was consensual.

Now, with Tim having interrupted a covert meeting between Will and Megan, could he bet set to figure out what is going on?
