Coronation Street Cassie Plummer’s exit ‘sealed’ after 2 years in death twist

Coronation Street’s Cassie Plummer could be set for a shock murder exit, according to soap fans.

Cassie (Claire Sweeney) rocked up to the cobbles in 2023 as the estranged mum of Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). And it didn’t take long for her to cause some drama.

Over on the soap last year, viewers were left shocked when Cassie started poisoning Ken (Will Roache). The pair struck up an unlikely friendship when Ken needed caring for after he fell and injured himself.

As well as drugging Ken, Cassie also started to fleece him for every penny. She ended up stealing his credit card to make several lavish purchases.

Eventually the truth came out when Ken realised what she was up to and exposed her, causing Cassie to become public enemy number one on the famous cobbles.

However, it wasn’t long before Ken forgave her – much to the disgust of his daughter Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford). What’s more, Cassie has also struck up a romance with Tracy’s ex Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).

And over on the soap recently, Tracy and Cassie have clashed again, following Cassie moving into Ken’s and getting a job at Street Cars. Things got rather heated earlier this week, when Cassie wound up Tracy by bringing up her killing Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) in 2007.

In Wednesday’s episode (November 5) though, their feud escalated when Cassie arrived at Ken’s house to find Tracy asleep on the sofa after drinking some wine. A ruthless Cassie then set fire to a tablecloth, making it look like Tracy had caused it.

A startled Tracy was left baffled, meanwhile Ken was fuming at Tracy for almost burning down the house. As for Cassie, she was delighted watching Tracy’s downfall.

However, with all the drama going down between Tracy and Cassie, fans can’t help but think it will end in murder. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “Bring back evil Tracy to kill Cassie.”

Another chimed in: “Think it’s going that way.” Echoing their thoughts, a third penned: “100%.” Meanwhile, another added: “She has form remember.”
