BBC show replaced and ‘won’t return for two weeks’ in schedule shake-up
There’s bad news for fans of BBC’s Casualty as the programme reportedly won’t air for the next two weeks following a huge schedule shake-up.
The medical drama, which recently saw fans air their concern over a beloved character, usually airs on Saturday evenings.
However, for the next fortnight it’s been taken off the BBC’s schedule for a brand new show.
In its regular place this weekend will be the Big Night of Musicals by the National Lottery, fronted by Jason Manford.
The programme will be a celebration of West End shows with homage to the likes of Wicked, Les Misérables, Matilda and Phantom of the Opera.
Currently, Casualty is airing a mini-series called Learning Curve and only has two more episodes until it comes to an end.

However, according to Radio Times, people will have to wait until Saturday, April 11 at 8:30 pm to find out what happens next.
So far this series, viewers have watched the heartbreaking storyline of Siobhan McKenzie (portrayed by Melanie Hill) reveal to her colleagues that she had been raped.
This resulted in Cam Mickelthwaite (Barney Walsh) trying to confront her attacker after learning his address. Although the confrontation backfired as he attacked Cam, resulting in him being taken to the hospital for surgery after hitting his head.
Elsewhere, fans were left shocked when it was revealed that long-running character Dylan Keogh (William Beck) was the biological father of newcomer Matty Linklaker (Aron Julius).
However, one question still remains for fans, which character will meet their untimely end? In January, Casualty released a trailer showing various members of the team looking heartbroken at a funeral.
While Stevie can be seen speaking at the sad occasion, with Iain sitting in the front row, people have been coming up with who they think could be leaving the show.
One of the names being suggested includes Faith Cadogan (Kirsty Mitchell), who has been part of the show since 2019.
On X, one person said: “Getting to be together, forever” oh! is it faith who dies then?”Another wrote: “Stevie is standing up and Ian at front of church in the quick bit you see. Faith?”
Although some think it could be newcomer Kim Chang (Jasmine Bayes) as one person wrote: “I got a feeling that it is Kim’s funeral that we see in the trailer..” While another added: “I did think the funeral at the end of the trailer was faith & Iain’s baby… now I’m swaying towards Kim; stevie is growing towards her.”
