BACK TOGETHER? ABI HINTS AT A REUNION AS KEVIN’S FUTURE IS FINALLY REVEALED!
Coronation Street’s Kevin Webster reached his lowest point during Wednesday’s instalment of the popular ITV soap.
In recent weeks, Kevin, portrayed by Michael Le Vell, has seen his world collapse after his wife, Abi Webster, abandoned him for his estranged brother Carl Webster following a clandestine affair.
Kevin’s distress deepened when he discovered his sister Debbie Webster, who has lately been diagnosed with young onset vascular dementia, was unwilling to sever contact with Carl, extending invitations to both brothers and Abi to attend her Christmas wedding to Ronnie Bailey.

At the wedding ceremony, Carl’s deceptions were laid bare, including his affair with James Bailey, defrauding Debbie of money, his responsibility for Tyrone Dobbs’ hit and run and even scheming to flee to Germany once more, all of which he refuted.
Following heavy drinking, Carl attempted to drive away in his vehicle but Debbie climbed into the car, declaring he’d have to drive off with her inside to which he did, reports the Daily Star.
Carl subsequently crashed into a multi-vehicle collision, which caused the minibus Billy Mayhew was driving from the wedding to plough into him, leading to his tragic death after Theo Silverton abandoned him in the vehicle to die.
In a disturbing turn of events, Carl moved an unconscious Debbie from the passenger seat to the driver’s seat to protect himself from imprisonment for drink driving and dangerous driving.
Kevin has been left devastated by everything that has unfolded, particularly as he highlighted he was aware Carl had switched Debbie in the vehicle, which she refuted, shielding Carl, who recently emerged as her biological son.
Following months of upheaval, Kevin hit crisis point on Wednesday’s episode, as he climbed onto the garage roof, refusing to descend. Ultimately, it was ex-wife Abi who scaled the building and persuaded him to come down as they reconciled their differences.
Soap viewers have been left curious to discover what lies ahead for Kevin or whether this could indicate a reconciliation with Abi. In forthcoming spoilers, Kevin is seen in court standing by Debbie, who has taken responsibility for Carl’s offences.
Meanwhile, Abi star, Sally Carman, recently spoke to The Mirror about her character and soap future: “No, it never ends for Abi. She’s alright though. I think she’s okay now after Carl.”
She added over a potential reunion with Kevin on the cobbles: “I genuinely don’t know what they’re got planned in the script. I don’t know if Abi and Kevin will get back together.
“I love working with Michael Le Vell and I miss him, so as long as we’ll still have some scenes together – I’ll be okay.”
