CORONATION Street star Liam Scholes has revealed he was “nearly killed” by a monkey in a bizarre holiday incident.

Just hours ago, the actor shared a worrisome video to his Instagram story that showed him in hospital with an IV drip on the back of one hand.

Though his exact whereabouts is unknown, given his short-sleeved shirt and shorts, both in khaki green shades, as well as the mention of a monkey, it’s possibly somewhere tropical.

“When you nearly get killed by a monkey in the desert,” the jungle-ready Waterloo Road actor scrawled over the clip.

“Game is over wait for the reel guys… just you wait.”

Viewers of the post were unable to drop comments speculating what exactly happened to Liam.

Though when the tell-all reel arrives, they’ll likely gain more insight on the incident.

Liam continued to say that his new girlfriend Rosin was his “very own life saver,” followed by a stream of laughing face emojis and a kiss.

Liam saw the humorous side in whatever took place, despite ending up needing medical attention.

Rosin accompanied her beau to the emergency room and took the video.

One of her tanned legs could be seen resting on the bed, along with what appeared to be medical information leaflets and a pen.

She’s kept Liam well stocked up on snacks and drinks too, as an array of food wrappers and empty cups surrounded the bed.

During his Corrie days, Liam was well-known for playing the role of Eli Higginson, a friend of criminal, Corey Brent.

After five months and a lot of on-screen drama, Liam’s role naturally ended once he was held in police custody.

But less than two years later, in 2023, he landed a part with hit BBC show: Waterloo Road.

Liam portrays Noel McManus, a kitchen assistant apprentice at Waterloo Road High School.

He’s also the fiancé of Stace Neville (Tillie Amartey), a student at that same school.

Stace asked Noel to marry her, becoming the second teen girl still at the school to get engaged.
