All EastEnders spoilers for next week as bisexual love triangle kicks off

It looks like a case of ‘like sister, like brother’ next week in EastEnders, as Josh Goodwin’s (Joshua Vaughan) arrival proves to be every bit as explosive as his twin sister, Jasmine Fisher’s (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) was.

As both Slater and Trueman clans look to get to know their long lost relative, they struggle to co-exist. While a hurt Jasmine makes an enormous decision, Josh seeks solace in the arms of Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier), and Max Branning (Jake Wood) tries to convince Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) to do the right thing, but will she?

As Billy and Honey Mitchell (Perry Fenwick and Emma Barton) decide the time has come for Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) to move out, though it becomes increasingly apparent that she’s unwilling to let her place at No.18 go, but just how far will she go?

The fledgling relationship between Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) and Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) following their baby news is still facing strong opposition from Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal), but can a combination of wife, Eve (Heather Peace), and a positive meeting with their adoption agency soften her?

I know, I know. I’ve rambled on for long enough. On to the good stuff…

Sandra and Josh Goodwin in EastEnders

Anxiety is high at the Trueman house, and when Josh finally arrives, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) struggles.

The two have a heart-to-heart, but when Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) arrives demanding to see her son, the moment is destroyed and Sandra Goodwin (Dawn Steele) and Kim and Denise Fox (Tameka Empson and Diane Parish) team up to force Zoe to leave.

Later on, when Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) oversees a charged interaction between Oscar and Josh, she encourages her brother to pursue it, and they later end up in bed together.

Bea’s strange behaviour as Honey returns home ignites a row between Bea and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), though Honey’s concern over her potential menopause leads her and Billy to decide it’s time that Bea move out.

Meanwhile, Suki is dismissive of Vinny’s attempts to make amends, despite Eve’s protestations, Zack Hudson (James Farrar) is wounded when Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) suggests he buy an engagement present for Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) and Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) and Cindy and Max determine to keep their hook up a secret.

Bea’s rage boils over (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)

Following a GP appointment, Honey gently asks Bea to move out. Bea, blindsided, heads to work at McClunky’s before ordering all of the customers out and smashing the place to pieces.

After Josh wakes up with Oscar, he meets Sandra on the Square where they cross with Zoe, who’s headed to see Jasmine at the prison. Zoe begs for a chance with Josh and is overjoyed when he agrees to come to the Vic. As they bond, Josh agrees to return tomorrow for a meal with both Slater and Trueman families, but Jasmine is crestfallen when she learns the reason for Zoe’s no-show and vows to plead guilty to Anthony Trueman’s (Nicholas Bailey) murder.

Elsewhere, Suki and Eve agree to attend lunch at Jack’s, leading Suki to bond with Penny, while Lauren and Peter Beale (Thomas Law) try to extract the tea from Oscar over his hook-up and Zack tries to bury his money worries.

Despite Penny telling Vinny that she doesn’t need him to splash the cash to impress her, she’s floored when he reveals that he’s put a down payment on a shop for her.

While Zoe prepares to host Josh, Sandra and the Truemans, guilty Zoe’s mind is on Jasmine. When he reveals that Jasmine’s phone accepted a call only weeks prior, it’s confirmed that someone is in possession of it, and the evidence to set her free.

As tension boils over between the Truemans and Slaters over Jasmine, Josh bolts, while a guilt-ridden Max encourages Cindy to return the phone. As she tries to do it covertly, she’s scuppered when she bumps into Oscar and the phone lands at Kat’s feet.

Also, Honey’s dismayed by her GP’s reaction to her, Will (Freddie Phillips) finds Bea in a trashed McClunky’s and she lies she was attacked, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) and Harry Mitchell’s (Elijah Holloway) relationship continues to strengthen and Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) and Zack come to blows when the former learns that they’re about to be evicted.
