EastEnders fans are convinced they have worked out Anna Knight’s exit storyline

EastEnders has teased Anna Knight’s departure storyline.

It was confirmed during the summer that Molly Rainford would be departing the BBC One drama after a two-year stint.

A statement released at the time declared: “We can confirm that Molly Rainford will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future.”

Anna’s most significant plots have featured her drink being spiked, the revelation that she’s Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) daughter, and her romantic entanglement with Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).

In Monday’s (October 27) instalment, now available for streaming on BBC iPlayer, Anna remarked that she requires every penny for her “trip to Oz”, leading viewers to speculate this could signal her departure from Albert Square, reports the Daily Star.

Writing on X, previously Twitter, one viewer commented: “So Anna’s exit will her emigrating to Australia then in a couple of weeks. I wonder if Freddie will go with her? #EastEnders.”

A second viewer suggested: “Is Anna dropping a hint to going in to the jungle mentioning her ‘Trip to Oz’? ? #Eastenders.”

Anna’s romantic partner Freddie is also set to leave Albert Square this year, according to official confirmation.

An EastEnders representative told Metro: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

Bobby is said to be exploring other opportunities following his four-year portrayal of Freddie.

In another part of the episode, Zoe Slater’s (Michelle Ryan) disclosure that her long-lost son isn’t Dennis Rickman’s (Nigel Harman) weighed heavily on Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) thoughts as they readied themselves for quiz night at The Vic, with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) cautioning his wife to steer clear.

Kat attempted to converse with her daughter, but she was preoccupied searching for her lost cat.

Simultaneously, Vicki Fowler had a chat with Ian Beale about Zoe’s son and seeing how much it mattered to Sharon Watts, he transferred her some funds to assist.

During the quiz night, Kat overheard Vicki conversing with Ross Marshall and made a decision. Kat’s revelation stirred up a fuss in The Vic as she exposed Zoe’s falsehood.
