There were even more developments in Zoe Slater’s Private Investigator case during tonight’s episode of EastEnders – as she finally had a face to face meeting.

However, she wasn’t alone as her mother Kat Moon sat beside her, to Zoe’s dismay. As far as Kat knows, Dennis Rickman is Zoe’s twins’ father. The revelation was made in the Vic during an argument with Sharon Watts, but it seemed Kat had her suspicions.

Viewers also had their suspicions, with many thinking she was lying to rile Sharon up, and get her to pay for the PI, which worked. However, now Sharon has gone away to help Vicki – Zoe has taken matters into her own hands, stealing money from the till in the Vic.

Kat later confronted Zoe, before sitting with her in her meeting with the PI – but for some reason, Zoe seemed to withold basic information.

“What date was it?” the PI asked about the DOB. “That was in the text I sent you,” Zoe replied.

“Well save her the bother and tell her again,” Kat said, as Zoe quickly snapped back: “I don’t remember off the top of my head! Like I said, it was in the text.”

The PI then went onto say that any evidence including photos or names of the midwife team would be a great help, although Zoe said she doesn’t remember because of the shock.

After learning Zoe also had a baby girl, the PI said she would look for the death certificate, but to Kat’s surprise, Zoe responded: “I don’t want you digging around in all that. Just let her Rest in Peace.”

What’s more she also told the investigator that she wasn’t sure who the dad was, despite telling everyone in Walford it was Dennis. So why would she hide this from the PI if it was true?

But why is Zoe keeping so much information from the PI? Well, fans think it’s because she’s hiding a huge secret from Kat, but all is set to be revealed soon…

Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: “She’s obviously lying about Frnnis but come on writers… if she sent the woman a text with the date, the text is on either of their phones (that they have with them currently) it’s 2025.”

Another wrote: “Zoe refusing to say the babies date of birth in front of Kat confirms to me that she’s lying about Dennis being the dad. Probably born in like December 2006 or something and Dennis died in December 2005.”

When we saw the flashback episode, we were made aware Zoe gave birth in 2006, but the month was never shown.

Spoilers for this week reveal that Zoe is set to drop another huge bombshell on Kat – but what could it be? Whatever it is gets blurted out in the Vic next week – leaving residents in shock. Many think the ‘real identity’ of the father is set to be revealed – with many believing it’s Anthony Trueman.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one penned: “Was he [Anthony] around when Zoe left the last time? Cause the only reason to keep him hanging on is if he is the father of her twins. As I suspect she’s lying about Dennis.”

Another viewer said: “So Zoe’s bombshell tomorrow I assume will be the real identity of her son’s father. Watch it be Anthony Trueman now – they’ve subtly hinted it for a while!”
