Coronation Street pregnant Shona’s true baby father ‘unveiled’ and David will be livid
Coronation Street viewers have ‘figured out’ the real father of Shona Platt’s baby, and it’s not her husband David.
Shona, portrayed by Julia Goulding, has been a popular character with viewers since she first appeared on the cobbles in 2016. Over the years, she’s been involved in numerous major storylines.
From suffering a brain injury to nearly being killed by her own son, Shona’s stint in Weatherfield has been anything but dull. She also became part of the legendary Platt family when she tied the knot with David Platt, played by Jack P.Shepherd, in 2019.
However, in December last year, Shona stunned fans when she had a fling with Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, during a rocky patch in her relationship with David, reports the Daily Star.
David found a pregnancy test
At that time, things were strained between Shona and David, after he manipulated her to prevent her from reconnecting with her estranged son Clayton, portrayed by Callum Harrison, who murdered his ex-wife Kylie, played by Paula Lane.

The truth about Kit and Shona eventually came to light, and David and Shona managed to move past what happened. However, this week brought more drama to the Platt household.

David was irate to discover that Carla, played by Alison King, had been discarding rubbish in his bin. But when he found a pregnancy test, he was intrigued.

Thinking it belonged to Betsy Swain, portrayed by Sydney Martin, David showed it to his sister Sarah, played by Tina O’Brien. But when she suggested it might be Lily’s – who had been ill earlier in the day – his delight turned to dread as he grasped the gravity of the situation.

Later, Sarah confided in Shona about the pregnancy test and David’s reaction, which immediately made Shona look guilty. Eventually, Shona confessed to David that it was her pregnancy twist, leaving him shocked.
However, fans are now convinced that David is not the actual father of the baby. On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one individual commented: “I think there’s more to come with Shona’s pregnancy.”
One fan speculated that Kit could be the father, suggesting: “I think Kit could be the dad, they might have slept together again since you never know.”
Another concurred: “That’s true, plus Shona has had memory loss before hasn’t she because of the brain injury.”
