Coronation Street Death Shock: Legend Leaving Soon After 42 Years in Sad Suicide Twist
Coronation Street fans are speculating that a soap icon might be leaving the cobbles soon.
Kevin Webster, played by Michael Le Vell, first graced our screens in 1983, and has had a tumultuous time on the soap of late. This year saw his world turned upside down when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
His family, including wife Abi (Sally Carman) and sister Debbie (Sue Devaney), rallied around him. Debbie herself faced her own health crisis when she was diagnosed with vascular dementia.
Adding to the drama, Kevin and Debbie’s brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) made his first appearance after living in Germany for several years. However, it wasn’t long before Carl stirred up some trouble.

Despite trying to resist, Kevin’s wife Abi found herself falling for Carl. Eventually, they succumbed to their feelings and began a secret affair, spurred on by Abi discovering that Kevin had lied about still having cancer, reports the Daily Star.
Their secret was discovered by Kevin’s sister Debbie, who was livid at the betrayal. Despite her fury, she vowed to keep quiet for the sake of Kevin’s children.
However, in Wednesday’s episode (October 8), Kevin discovered the truth about Abi and Carl’s affair due to a massive blunder by Abi during a family birthday celebration.

Kevin was left fuming after uncovering the truth, but after calming down, he had a heartfelt conversation with Abi. Despite everything, Kevin, still smitten with his wife, suggested they stick together and move on.
However, to his dismay, Sally confessed her love for Carl. Debbie comforted Kevin later, but she didn’t reveal that she already knew about Abi and Carl’s affair.

Now, in a potentially heartbreaking twist, fans are worried that Kevin might be leaving the show. On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person speculated: “Are they building up to a male suicide storyline for Kevin?”.
Another chimed in: “They could be. Like what they did Aidan,” referring to Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) taking his own life in 2018. A third agreed: “I was thinking that, with everything he’s been through so sad.”
Another fan exclaimed: “I bloody hope not, he’s better off without Abi!”.
