It’s another week of chaos on Coronation Street with prison fears, an exit warning and some discoveries.

After last week’s concerning scenes with Tim Metcalfe who met someone he dated in his past, next week he shuts down the topic. Tim tells his wife Sally that he won’t be seeing Trisha again, after he was told by others that the past romance was inappropriate and that he was groomed.

But is this it for the plot, or will we see Tim explore his realisation further? Elsewhere, it’s another big week for Swarla and Betsy, thanks to Becky Swain and DI Costello.

Things take a worrying turn, and soon someone is warned to leave. With Becky still hiding out in Weatherfield four years on from faking her death, she continues to cause problems for her ex Lisa Swain and Lisa’s fiancée Carla Connor.

Meanwhile, amid all this, Carla declares the new Rovers Return owner is a man named Ben – paving the way for the arrival of him and his family, including his wife, former character, Eva Price. Back to Swarla, and Carla is having second thoughts about her trip to Ireland.

When she admits she doesn’t like to leave her alone with Becky, Lisa is forced to question her trust in her. It’s then that Lisa makes a confession, telling Carla that she loves her and has absolutely no interest in Becky – so will Carla go?

It seems so, but there’s trouble when Betsy posts a video of her mum Becky online without thinking. Becky panics as she tells Lisa and Betsy her cover could be blown.

But the trouble continues when Lisa finds out the next day her daughter has been arrested. With Betsy left in a police cell, she’s tired and confused while Lisa blames Becky for what has happened.

When Betsy is interviewed, it’s revealed that Costello has claimed Betsy damaged a police car, resisted arrest and then tried to attack him. Betsy refuses to comment, while away from the station we see Costello’s intentions become clear.

Meeting up with Becky, the tells her she needs to leave for good or it will be worse for Betsy. So what will Becky do, and why is Costello targeting the teen?

Also next week, Todd Grimshaw has enough and kicks out his abusive and controlling partner Theo Silverton. As Theo continues to act out, Todd is fearful for his health as he awaits some test results.

He worried pal George when he reveals he’s going to start putting plans in place for his own funeral. Elsewhere, Theo asks Billy and Summer what’s going on with Todd as he’s worried he’s hiding something from him.

It’s clear Billy knows something when he dashes out to take a call from Todd, with Theo furious. The next day Todd has spent the night at Billy’s place, while he insists to Theo nothing happened between them.

But to his shock, a man named Pete, who Theo was with at The Bistro in a business related meeting, leaves the bathroom. But has Theo cheated on Todd? When Todd shares his health scare, Theo twists the situation.

Todd snaps though, and orders Theo to pack his bags and leave – so is it over for them? Elsewhere, Kevin Webster breaks down as he struggles after wife Abi’s betrayal. Soon Abi is accusing Kevin of scuppering her chances at a local car garage.

Bethany Platt is offered shifts at the salon by her great-grandmother Audrey Roberts after her return to Weatherfield. But when she’s put in charge of Hope who is doing work experience, things take a turn when a client shows them some “miracle pills”.

Bethany hits out over this, while Hope has other ideas and seemingly steals the pills. When Bethany orders her to empty her bag the pair fight, causing Bethany’s stoma to split.

Also next week, Asha Alahan returns home after her hospital dash in scenes this week after an overdose. She’s struggling, but when she snaps at her dad Dev she realises she’s gone too far.

Dev fears for his fragile daughter, and Bernie reckons someone should have a word with Naomi before she pushes anyone else to the brink. Finally next week, Tyrone Dobbs suffers a fall from his wheelchair at home while no one is with him, with his wife Fiz seemingly avoiding being there.

Cassie Plummer finds her son in agony , and soon Fiz is blanking her. But soon a discovery from Cassie sparks questions, while Cassie is eager to get back into her daughter-in-law’s good books.
