Zoe promises to leave, but Stacey yells: “If you leave, I’ll spill all the beans on Greg to the authorities!” – the Slater sisters are now mortal foes!

There are some major exits in tonight’s EastEnders installment, as in the aftermath of Stacey Slater’s shock discovery about Max Branning and Zoe Slater, four characters say goodbye to Walford – but who decides to leave?

Having been persuaded by Zoe to leave for Brazil after all, Stacey was completely blindsided when she caught her cousin kissing Max outside The Vic.

Stacey raged at the pair in today’s episode and grew even angrier when Zoe explained that she and Max already knew each other – and that he is the man who tried to help her to find her son.

Furious Stacey charged into the pub and told everyone the truth about Max and Zoe and slapped her cousin in the face when she brought up Martin.

At home, Stacey told Lily what had happened, but the teen reminded her mum that she could still catch the flight tonight if she wanted to.

There was a knock at the door from Max and while Stacey reluctantly let him in and agreed to talk, she was still annoyed that he didn’t tell her about his relationship with Zoe.

Max admitted he’d partly come back to Walford because he still had feelings for Stacey, and he was keen for them to spend some time together and see if they still had a connection.

However, Stacey remained firm and made it clear to Max he was history, telling him to walk out the door and never come back.

Back at the pub, Max changed his mind and told Zoe that they shouldn’t pursue a romantic relationship, leaving her in tears.

Meanwhile, Stacey broke the news to Lily, Kat, Alfie and Mo that she was going to Brazil – but Jean was stuck on the tube with Priya and didn’t know about her daughter’s plans.

As the cab arrived to take Stacey, Hope and Arthur the airport, she said goodbye to her family, though left on bad terms with Zoe.

Max made one last ditch attempt to convince Stacey to stay and sort things out, but she turned him down and left Walford with the kids – with Jean heartbreakingly missing her exit by mere seconds.

Jean was angry with Zoe for causing Stacey to leave and demanded that she pack her bags and get out of the Slater house.

As Stacey looked forward to a new life on the other side of the world, Max also decided not to stick around in Albert Square. But he might not stay away for long…
