All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as ordeals are confirmed
Things are set to take a dark turn in Coronation Street next week, as a battle with mental health, the revelation of childhood sexual abuse and a family torn apart by infidelity take centre stage.
Asha Alahan’s (Tanisha Gorey) mental health crisis finally reaches a devastating apex when she’s hospitalised, leaving her dad, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and step mum Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) spiralling in what could’ve been.
The re-emergence of a figure from Tim Metcalfe’s (Joe Duttine) past sends shockwaves through the Street when his fond memory of her is corrected by those closest to him, while the Webster family face total collapse as Kevin (Michael Le Vell), Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine) and Carl (Jonathan Howard) all face the cold, hard truth.
We get it, we’re excited, too. Luckily, we have a whole load of spoilers to tide you over until next week.
Monday, October 6

Dev and Bernie’s joy having finally enjoyed their wedding night at the hotel is cut short when Bernie admits that she’s worried about Asha’s state of mind. It seems she’s right to be, as an increasingly drunken Asha chugs on a wine bottle, getting Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) to mind the shop
Todd confides in George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) that he’s worried about missing Theo, astute George reckons Todd could be better off without him.
Theo, returning from his night in town, finds Asha slumped on the bench, an empty wine bottle next to her. Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) calls Dev and reports what’s happened, leading to Asha receiving medical attention and being taken to hospital.

Todd lashes out at Theo over his vanishing, and Theo departs again. Todd is cowed when Amy reveals that, without Theo’s intervention, things could’ve turned out very differently as it pertains to Asha.
As Asha is hospitalised, Sienna (Charlotte Tyree) tells Dev and Bernie that they found drugs on Asha and Dev is left spinning when Bernie asks if this was a suicide attempt.

Tim picks up Trisha Pinkerton (Anita Booth), a girl he knew some forty years ago, in his cab. While celebrating his anniversary with Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), she encourages him to go for a drink with the lads to cheer Kevin up before dinner.
As Tim, Kevin, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) discuss what’s happened with Asha and their concern for Dev, they begin to open up about their own mental health, all vowing to be more open in the future, though all the men are unimpressed when Trisha reappears and Tim is obviously distracted.
Wednesday, October 8

It’s awkward for call as he finds himself sat directly between Abi and James Bailey (Jason Callender) at Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) birthday party. When Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) spots an intimate moment between Carl and Abi, she lambasts Abi before heading to Kevin.
Convinced that Debbie is spilling the tea about them, Abi fires off a panicked text to Carl, warning him of what is to come, but accidentally sends it to Kevin, forcing Carl to desperately try to get hold of Kevin’s phone.
Trisha drops in to the cab office to see Tim and as the two reconnect, a furious Sally finds them. As Trisha leaves, Sally rails at Tim for missing their anniversary meal before storming out.

Brian Packham (James Gunn) is sickened when Tim, reminiscing about the past with Trisha, reveals that he was only 14 when they got together, while she was nearly 20.
Dev remains in turmoil, and confides in Bernie that he feels angry that Asha was prepared to put the family through the inevitable pain of losing her.
Friday, October 10

When Trisha calls into the café looking for Tim, Brian is incredibly icy before accusing her of grooming Tim as a child. While Trisha is horrified, Tim goes for Brian, though he doesn’t falter and implores Tim to face up to the fact that he was abused.
When Sally faces up to Tim about what happened between he and Trisha, Tim reveals that she took his virginity when he was 14 and she was 20, leaving Sally utterly reeling.
Abi lets herself into No.13 in a bid to check on Kevin and Jack (Kyran Bowes) following the chaos of Ronnie’s party. Kevin makes it crystal clear that she’s no longer welcome and makes her hand over her key.

When Todd makes excuses to avoid Noah Hedley’s (Richard Winsor) funeral, he reveals to Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) that he has a hospital appointment to check for bowel cancer and isn’t telling Theo to avoid adding piling more stress onto him.
