Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey is set to ramp up her plans to ruin sister Shona’s marriage to David Platt next week, once again aiming to get David alone and lay on the charm.

ITV has released a first-look clip from Monday’s (6 April) episode, which sees Jodie running late for work before learning that David has a day off.

As he puts his microwave popcorn into a bowl, David raves about how he’s going to spend his day off watching the double-bill of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame on his own, relishing that he’ll get to watch them without Shona and Lily constantly asking him stupid questions.

Although Jodie says at first that she’s never seen the films as they’re not her thing, she decides to pull a sickie and watch them with him.

David is amused by the whole thing, but doesn’t realise that Jodie has an ulterior motive.

It’s also obvious that David really enjoys Jodie’s banter game, but could his head really be turned if and when she really lays on the flirtation?

“David seems oblivious to Jodie’s true motives,” shares our Corrie source. “Jodie doesn’t have good intentions where her half-sister Shona is concerned – so the Platts’ marriage could be vulnerable if she continues to scheme.”

“She’s clearly playing the long game around David, not wanting to make her move too quickly. But is it only a matter of time before she crosses the line?”
