EastEnders icon Danny Dyer warns viewers ‘don’t go near’ his latest film
The One Show guest Danny Dyer warned viewers who aren’t keen on his acting “don’t go anywhere near” his latest film, One Last Deal.
The EastEnders and Rivals star was accompanied by presenter Fearne Cotton on the BBC programme’s sofas today (Wednesday, 11th March) to discuss his newest project with Clara Amfo and Vernon Kay.
Danny’s latest film sees him play football manager Jimmy Banks in a thrilling race against time to secure one final payday for one of his top clients.
Previewing the film, he told Clara and Vernon: “Jimmy hasn’t got many morals about him. [He’s] driven by the dollar and been a really bad husband, a bad father.”
He then quipped, “Sounds a bit like me, to be honest with you”, before outlining the film’s compelling premise, reports Wales Online.

The soap star went on to disclose a surprising element of the production. “I’m the only one in it,” he said. “So I’m here to promote it.
“It’s me in a room on the phone for an hour and a half. I’m gonna be honest, if you’re into me then you’ll love it, if you’re not into me do not go anywhere near this film. Because it will wind you up.”
Clara then reassured the actor: “People are into you, Danny! You’re alright.”

Danny went on to acknowledge the demanding solo performance was a “test” that made him “go crazy”, and compared One Last Deal’s twists and turns to an episode of The Twilight Zone.
He also admitted that he couldn’t have tackled the role earlier in his career as he would have been a “liability”. Whilst his latest big screen venture arrives in cinemas this Friday (13th March), legions of devoted fans are equally eager to see his return to streaming as Freddie Jones in the hugely anticipated second series of Disney+’s Rivals.
Released just months after the sad passing of author Jilly Cooper last October, Danny teased: “You thought the first one was good? We really, really delve into it this time.

“We’ve only scratched the surface, honestly. I’m so excited for people to see it.
“And, of course, in memory of Jilly Cooper who we lost, and we’ve done her justice, don’t you worry yourself about that.”
Fans must wait a little longer before Rivals graces screens on 15th May, though Danny’s newest cinematic outing can be enjoyed in a matter of days.
