Is Laurel leaving Emmerdale and does she die? Fate confirmed after stairs fall
Fans fear Laurel is leaving Emmerdale after a horror stairs fall on Thursday.
The episode, that is now available on ITVX, sees Laurel caught up in her teen son Arthur Thomas’ violent outburst. As he lashed out, he shoves her and she falls and hits her head.
Left motionless on the floor, Arthur is horrified, but does Laurel die? Spoilers and pictures released last week confirmed the shocking twist, and the return of Arthur’s anger issues.
What they did not confirm was Laurel’s fate, while Thursday’s episode ends with Laurel left motionless on the floor. So will Laurel be killed off in a shocking twist, and will Arthur be caught out for his crime?

Laurel’s fate has actually been revealed though ahead of Friday’s episode. The next episode sees the fallout to the incident as laurel is rushed to hospital, while Arthur tries to cover his tracks.
Next week’s spoilers shed light on her fate, by confirming she will survive and is not leaving. New images and teasers reveal she’s back at home recovering, and Manpreet Sharma is keen to get to the bottom of what happened to Laurel.
Arthur remains fearful he will be caught out so it seems Laurel hasn’t said anything to anyone. Manpreet quizzes Laurel alone about what caused her fall, so might this be the moment she tells the truth?
That said, we know she’s alive and not going anywhere. Actress Charlotte Bellamy told The Mirror that the storyline would continue and take the characters on a new journey.
She said: “The story is about how much a mother or a parent protects their child. She doesn’t want people to think the worst of him. As a parent, you want to protect them, don’t you?”

Charlotte also addressed the pair would still be trying to move on from Laurel’s romance with villain Ray Walters, and his eventual murder. She said: “Arthur feels like he should have known too, and he wants to protect Laurel.
“That starts them on another journey, the two of them.” Speaking of the future, Charlotte dropped hints she has no plans to go anywhere just yet. She said: “I’d be bothered if they’re going to kill me off. Obviously, I need a bit of warning on that.”
