Isabel Lucas celebrates her son’s arrival with a heartfelt birth ritual.

Former Home and Away star Isabel Lucas, 41, has welcomed her first child, a boy, with her American partner, Cyrus Sutton.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Isabel revealed her son’s name, Archer, and opened up about a deeply personal birth ritual that holds special meaning for the family.

“Archer… our source of delight and joy. Our little beloved is filling our days with a purity of love that keeps growing.”

She also shared the story behind burying his placenta beneath a small hoop pine on their Byron Bay property. “We recently buried his placenta beneath a small hoop pine on our land. It was our Christmas tree. My mum chose it for its scent and modest size, not realising it might grow 60 metres sky high. We wanted to honour the life giver and mark the threshold.”

Isabel finished the post: “The earth nourished the mother, the mother nourished the baby, and so in reciprocity the placenta returns to the earth. It felt like closure, a living prayer connecting him to his birth soil, his home and family, honouring that his roots stretch far beyond this place.”

Isabel annouces son’s arrival

Isabel announced her son’s arrival with an Instagram post in December, celebrating her son’s arrival. “Angels everywhere… In the signs and synchronicities, intuitive whispers, in the circles of support, in the water and nature’s intelligence,” she captioned a heartfelt photo. “Through all beauty and the pain, softening fear into love. Opening up new fields of possibilities, bridges of light. Thank you to all the angels… seen and unseen, known and unknown. Thank you to our bright little son, we love you all ways.”

The actress, who rose to fame on Home and Away, has previously been linked to co-star Chris Hemsworth in 2006, indie pop singer Angus Stone, and Entourage star Adrian Grenier.

Now, she’s sharing the tender, intimate moments of motherhood, from planting a tree to mark new life, to the daily joys of watching her son grow.
