With new episodes just months away from debuting, FBIconfirms that a cast member will be leaving. CBS recently unveiled its fall line-up of shows, revealing that FBI season 8 will return on Monday, October 13 at 8 Pm. It’s also been confirmed that the show will welcome a new cast member.

Juliana Aidén Martinez, who previously played Detective Kate Silva for a single season of Law & Order: Svu, has joined FBI season 8 in an undisclosed main cast member role. But a surprising cast departure offers a potential clue as to who Martinez might be playing.

TVLinereports that S.W.A.T. and Magnum P.I. alum Emily Alabi will be leaving FBI after recurring in season 8 as Dani Rhodes, one of the partners of John Boyd’s Stuart Scola. The actress will make an appearance to wrap up her character’s story, however.

The Tragic Exit: Dani Rhodes

While it was known that Emily Alabi (Dani Rhodes) would be leaving, the manner of her exit caught many fans off guard. In the Season 8 premiere, “Takeover,” which aired on October 13, 2025, Rhodes was fatally shot during a rescue mission involving Maggie and OA. Though she initially believed her vest had stopped the bullet, she collapsed and died at Scola’s side, ending her brief but impactful six-episode run.

The New Arrival: Eva Ramos

Stepping into the void left by Rhodes is Juliana Aidén Martinez, a familiar face to Dick Wolf fans from her time as Detective Kate Silva on Law & Order: SVU.

Martinez made her debut in Episode 3, “Boy Scout,” playing Special Agent Eva Ramos. Here is what we know about the new addition:
