BBC Casualty’s message to fans after ‘outstanding’ episode leaves them in tears

Medical drama Casualty left audiences emotional during Saturday’s episode on February 1, which explored the consequences of a vicious assault.

The enduring BBC series depicted Siobhan, portrayed by former Coronation Street actress Melanie Hill, grappling with the fallout from the previous week’s shocking conclusion when she was assaulted.

In the earlier instalment, audiences watched Siobhan instruct Flynn, played by Call The Midwife actor Olly Rix, to return home for his daughter’s birthday celebration after a demanding shift, insisting she would handle the remaining administrative tasks.

Having worked well into the evening, she departed the hospital only to be forced to the ground by an unidentified assailant. Her cries rang out as the episode concluded.
