RILED UP Fuming Emmerdale star Lisa Riley hits back at pregnancy rumours in online rant

EMMERDALE star Lisa Riley has been left fuming after being forced to hit back at pregnancy rumours in a huge rant.

Back in 2018, the 49-year-old revealed she and partner Al were going to give IVF a go but fertility tests revealed that her remaining eggs were not of the quality that doctors anticipated, meaning IVF could potentially not work.

This led to the couple accepting that children may not be the path for them as they came to terms with the news.

Now the Loose Women panellist has taken to her Instagram feed to shut down pregnancy rumours.

She expressed: “Hi everybody, this is no-one’s fault apart from fake news, clickbait and oh my God, what world are we living in.

“I am 100 per cent not pregnant, I have been inundated today with congratulations about that. Do you know what makes this even more sick?

“Is the fact that only this week on Loose Women, I was talking about the fact that me and Al, my other half, we couldn’t get pregnant.

“We tried IVF, it didn’t work but still the very strange people out there feel they need to clickbait and put out fake news that I am pregnant.

“Well I’m not and you know what, to clickbait and AI and to all of this nonsense the world is becoming, there,” she slammed as she held a middle finger up to the camera.

“That’s yours, utter nonsense. Clarification, I’m not pregnant. Okay, thank you! Clarification would be nice.

“If I was pregnant, I might have told people. Just food for thought, when you read stuff, go to the person’s social media, have a look at if they’ve said anything, if they haven’t, it’s probably fake news. Just putting it out there,” the I’m A Celebrity star signed off.

She captioned the post: “The truth….FROM ME!! Stop stop stop stop believing all the lines on here PLEASE…

“FAKE NEWS is getting out of hand!!!! #truth,” Lisa posted along with angry face emojis.

Her loyal supporters flocked to the comments section to send her some love as one person wrote: “Sending lots of love, the gossips are just gossips, nothing else better to do.”

Another fan said: “So sorry it’s awful when people put out fake news, well done you. You tell them as it is, lots of love to you Lisa.”

While a third added: “I’m so sorry this has happened to you. There is nothing worse when it’s such a sensitive subject.”

Lisa previously opened up about the “emotionally draining” IVF journey as she told the Mirror: “I feel that I have taken ownership of the situation now.

“I have seen other people go through years and years of IVF treatment and the stress and pressure that creates.

“I don’t want to do that. We have decided now that we aren’t going to go down that route, and now that we have made that decision, I could not be happier.”

In 2021, she assured Closer Magazine that her and Al’s decision not to keep trying for children was one she stood by.

“Al would never want me to go through IVF again because he said he lost the girl he fell in love with… I may not have 2.4 kids and a dog but I have a beautiful bloody life. I wouldn’t change it for the world, I’m so lucky.”

While Lisa and her partner Al have been engaged for seven years, the pair have previously said they don’t have plans to marry but they sparked speculation of a secret marriage following her exit from the jungle last year.
