Casualty hospital faces biggest challenge yet as BBC show welcomes two newcomers
This month, BBC audiences will be introduced to two fresh faces joining the latest instalment of the BAFTA award-winning medical drama Casualty.
The upcoming series of the long-standing programme, which has recently revealed some thrilling developments, is set to keep viewers gripped throughout.
As both the hospital and its staff encounter some of their most significant trials to date, several beloved characters will be compelled to face their inner struggles.
Alongside the returning ensemble, featuring names such as Will Beck, Olly Rix and Kirsty Mitchell, BBC watchers will also be introduced to some new additions to the team.
Joining the BBC medical drama will be Death in Paradise star Aron Julius, who will be stepping into the role of charming disarmer Matty. Meanwhile, Vera’s Jasmine Beyes will play the uncertain yet competent Kim, reports the Express.

The new junior doctors will encounter their own hurdles whilst naviating the pressures of the emergency department.
Speaking about her arrival on Cy, Jasmine remarked: “I am delighted to be joining the ED alongside Aron for Casualty’s 40th year.
“The journey Kim goes on is far from simple, and I hope audiences are prepared to follow her into some troubled waters.”
Whilst Aron commented: “I am absolutely buzzing to be joining Casualty as Dr Matty Linlaker. It’s a dream job – fast, fun and full of heart – and I can’t wait for audiences to meet him. Saturday nights just got a little more chaotic.”

A synopsis for the new 12-part series reads: “As the Emergency Department is overwhelmed and the CQC closes in, Flynn (Olly Rix) and Siobhan (Melanie Hill) must unite the team as tensions threaten to break it apart.
“Faith (Kirsty Mitchell) and Iain (Michael Stevenson) struggle to overcome a new challenge in their relationship, as Cam (Barney Walsh) and Indie’s (Naomi Wakszlak) heats up.
“Meanwhile, two new arrivals shake the ED up. Will they adapt to the job or fall at the first hurdle?”.
