Coronation Street legend addresses Ozempic claims after dramatic transformation
Ozempic use is rocketing with users turning to the drug to aid their weight loss.
Coronation Street star Beverley Callard has dismissed rumours linking her recent weight loss to Ozempic, as she insisted that she’s been ‘working her backside off’ all her life and is deeply committed to fitness.
Beverley, 68, clarified that her impressive physique is not the result of ‘any weight loss jabs’, but simply the fruit of her hard work. The soap queen was quick to add that she ‘wouldn’t criticise anyone’ for using such methods and encouraged people ‘to do what they need to do’.

Ozempic (semaglutide) is a prescription injectable medication primarily approved for adults with type 2 diabetes, but it has recently become a diet trend.

In the video, the actress flaunted her stunning figure in black and grey patterned leggings paired with a matching jacket.
The star has built a side career on her fitness, releasing hugely successful workout videos for fans to copy in the past.
After quitting the cobbles, Beverley recently made a return to our screens and left viewers on edge after appearing to be ‘possessed by a spirit’ during a chilling reality series.
New footage from Discovery+’s Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted shows filming being abruptly halted after the actress, best known for her role as Liz McDonald on the ITV soap, convulsed during a terrifying moment.
Beverley, who also participated in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! joined the series after reporting strange happenings in her 19th-century home.
The celebrity spin-off features a team of experts, including paranormal investigator Jayne Harris, tech expert Barri Ghai, and psychic medium Ian Lawman, who assist famous faces.
Beverley invited the team into her converted barn in Norfolk, which she shares with her husband Jon, after struggling to settle due to potential paranormal activity. After relocating from Salford to this dream property, Beverley confessed that she had been left frightened to be alone in the house after alarms began sounding in the dead of night.
During these alarm incidents, the actress claimed to have seen two specks of light in the room, leading her to refuse to enter the house alone.
Agreeing to participate in a ritual to determine if there might be any supernatural forces at play within the house, Beverley seemed to be ‘possessed’ by a spirit. Swinging a crystal pendulum before her face, Beverley tried to make contact with any spirits, only to end up sweating and trembling in front of the experts.
“I’m absolutely boiling,” she declared, as the experts gauged the air temperature around her, which is said to have a ‘direct correlation’ with any paranormal activity. “Are you a young boy?” Beverley asked the spirit, as the pendulum started to swing back and forth rapidly and change direction, assuring the experts: “I’m not moving, I’m not moving at all.”
“Do you feel trapped in some way?” Beverley continued, before her hand, arms, and body slowly began to shake, unbeknownst to her. One of the experts stepped in to assist her, asking: “Are you alright? Are you OK?” as they hurried to ‘clear the aura and energy’ from around her.
Clearly rattled by the ordeal, Beverley ended up exclaiming: “Can I run out of here!?”
She then begged the team to spare her from any more experiments during the investigation.
