The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Devon and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) picture-perfect post-wedding bliss is about to run into some serious turbulence. In a recent joint interview with his Y&R co-star Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott), Bryton James, who plays Devon Hamilton, offered up a juicy tease about what’s coming next for his character.

According to James in the TV Watercooler interview (see below), he and his on-screen wife won’t be floating on cloud nine much longer. In his own words, he hinted there’s “quite a bit of drama coming up for Dabby.” The fan-favorite ship name for Devon and Abby.

He went a step further, revealing, “Devon’s going to find someone in his immediate family in danger, and that’s going to put Devon and Abby’s marriage to the test in new ways.”

What a tease, right? A line like that instantly sparks questions: Which family member is in danger? And will Devon and Abby’s marriage survive the fallout?

Fans will recall that Abby Newman and Devon Hamilton tied the knot in the show’s milestone 13,000th episode of Y&R. The episode aired on November 13, 2024.

Their wedding at the newly rebuilt Newman Ranch marked the beginning of their supposed happily ever after… except, according to James, that fairy-tale ending is about to hit a bump in the road—one they may or may not overcome.
