Coronation Street Fans Fear Tragic Death After Chilling New Scene — “It’s Coming, I Can Feel It”

Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank has confirmed he has filmed his final ever scenes at the ITV soap, marking the end of his 11-year run on the cobbles.

Sharing a photo from the set, Daniel wrote: ‘That’s it. Last scene filmed. Bye bye @coronationstreet. Bye bye Billy. The last 11 years have gone by in a blink. I’ve adored every moment of being part of this special family. I can’t thank @itv and all at Corrie enough. It’s been a ride. I adore you all.’

The post marks a definitive end for the beloved character who has been a part of some of the show’s most emotional scenes for more than a decade.

Daniel has portrayed local vicar Billy Mayhew since 2014. The character has been through an awful lot while living on the cobbles, but his chapter in Weatherfield is soon coming to come to an end.

Discussing his departure, Daniel previously said: ‘I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life. I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not look forward to going into work.

He added: ‘I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.’

Producer of the show Kate Brooks noted: ‘Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit.

‘We’re incredibly sad to bid farewell to Dan, who has been fantastic in some of Corrie’s biggest storylines over the past few years, most notably Paul’s MND. An actor of immeasurable talent and skill, and an absolute treasure behind the scenes – he will be missed by all of us on the cobbles.’

With rumours circulating that Billy is going to be killed off, it appears we won’t have too long to wait until we discover his fate, as Daniel has now filmed his final scenes.

In a separate post, Daniel took to Instagram, sharing a tearful picture of himself and his co-star Harriet Bibby, who plays Billy’s adoptive daughter Summer Spellman.

He wrote alongside: ‘My final day today working with this beautiful human. I’ve loved playing her tv dad. What an honour it has been. An incredible woman. I shall miss her terribly. Thank goodness I’ll get to see her in real life for dinners, walks & cuddles.’

Plenty of Daniel’s Corrie co-stars took to the comments section’s of both posts to share kind messages to him as well. Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw, said: ‘Love you both the most’, while Bernie Winter star Jane Hazlegrove movingly wrote: ‘Our Billy and little Summer! Thank you Dan for being THE kindest !! You know! What a ride eh darling! Thank you for everything!’.

An ongoing theory regarding Billy’s final story in the ITV soap involves Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Todd’s abusive boyfriend.

Theo has made it clear time and time again that he doesn’t like Billy and, more to the point, does not want him to be friends with Todd.

Billy is staying away from Todd and Theo at the moment, but just how long will that last?

Could Theo decide that ‘keeping distance’ isn’t enough and seek a more permanent solution to his Billy problem? Will he murder Billy in a jealous state of rage? Or will he see to a less permanent end to his perceived rival?

Whatever happens, it’s painfully obvious that Billy is in major danger with Theo as an enemy.
