‘IT’S OVER, LISA.’ Carla Ends It After Becky’s SINFUL Trap. FULL EPISODE | Coronation Street

Coronation Street Heartbreak: Carla Ends Engagement After Becky’s Sinister Trap

The much-loved Coronation Street couple Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain—known as “Swirla”—have officially split after Becky Swain executed her most devastating and cruel scheme yet, leading a heartbroken Carla to call off their engagement.

The Fatal Misunderstanding

The drama unfolded after Carla planned a romantic lunch date with Lisa, determined to fight for their future amidst Becky’s constant interference. However, Lisa failed to show up. Unbeknownst to Carla, Becky had overheard the lunch plans and deliberately got intoxicated on the street, forcing the loyal Lisa to intervene and bring her back to her home.

The situation became catastrophic when Carla, hurt and humiliated, finally returned home. She was met with the gut-wrenching sight of a freshly showered Becky descending the stairs, wearing nothing but Lisa’s bathrobe.

To Carla, this sight was confirmation of a devastating betrayal and every fear she had harboured about Becky’s presence. She stood frozen as Becky offered a “smug, satisfied half-smile,” which Carla interpreted as a cruel admission of guilt. In her mind, the sight was “damning” and meant only one thing: Lisa had cheated.

Carla, devastated and refusing to be seen as an “afterthought or a consolation prize,” called off the engagement on the spot, ripping off her ring and telling Lisa their relationship was over.

Little did Carla know that the entire scenario was meticulously engineered by Becky. The ex-wife had used her own vulnerability and Lisa’s kind-hearted nature to set a perfect trap. Becky expertly played the victim, slurring about everything she had lost and appealing to Lisa’s sense of guilt. When Lisa, exasperated but concerned for Becky’s safety, put her in the shower to sober up, Becky ensured that Carla walked in at the exact moment of the aftermath.

While Lisa desperately tried to explain, insisting nothing happened and that it was an “innocent” attempt to help, Carla was done listening. Her trust was shattered, and she refused to fight Becky’s “psychological tactics” any longer, ending the relationship and sending shockwaves through Weatherfield.

Escalating Danger with Costello

Becky’s chaos didn’t end with the relationship split. Convinced that Di Costello was responsible for an ominous funeral wreath sent to her, Becky escalated their dangerous feud. She took a covert photo of Costello’s daughter at the precinct and sent it to him, issuing a chilling threat that she would target his family if he interfered with her plans to reclaim Lisa.

Their tense phone call was secretly eavesdropped on by Kit, raising his suspicions. When Costello failed to show up for work the next day, Kit’s detective instincts kicked in, and he quickly learned that Costello had been attacked. Kit shares his concerns with Lisa, speculating that Becky might be responsible for the assault, leaving Lisa deeply conflicted about the woman who has now destroyed her future. With Carla out of the picture, Becky’s behaviour is expected to become even more “unpredictable” and dangerous.
