EastEnders local charged with murder after character death is confirmed
The fallout from Okie’s shocking death sends shockwaves through Albert Square, and one local finds himself charged with murder.
Tonight’s episode picks up in the aftermath of last night’s brutal scenes, where a heated confrontation between Okie and Harry ended in tragedy. Despite Harry being the onewho accidentally stabbed Okie, it’s Teddy who’s now taking the fall.
Teddy faces the police
At the start of the episode, Teddy is still in police custody, being questioned over Okie’s death. He maintains that the stabbing was an accident, claiming it was self-defence, but viewers know the truth. Teddy is covering for his son, Harry, who is the one truly responsible for Okie’s fatal wound.
The tension is palpable as Teddy tries to stay calm under pressure. He’s committed to protecting Harry at all costs.
In last night’s episode, we saw Harry, while going through withdrawals and desperate, was heading to meet a dealer when he got a message from Kojo warning him that Okie was furious and looking for him. When Harry arrived, he found Okie threatening Kojo with a knife.
Rushing to his friend’s defence, Harry tackled Okie, and a violent struggle broke out. In the chaos, Harry accidentally stabbed Okie. By the time Teddy arrived, Kojo had fled, and Okie was already dead.

Instead of letting his son face the consequences, Teddy took control, insisting he would take the blame to protect Harry’s future. Despite Harry’s desperate pleas to come clean, Teddy handed himself in and confessed to killing Okie, a move that now looks set to cost him everything.
Nicola tries to hold the family together
Back home, Nicola struggles to hold everything together as the reality of the situation sinks in. A distraught Harry is consumed by guilt, while young Barney can’t make sense of the chaos surrounding his family.
Nicola does her best to comfort both of them, torn between her instinct to protect her sons and her growing fear that Teddy’s sacrifice might destroy them all. She tries to convince Harry that Okie’s death wasn’t his fault, that he was only acting in self-defence and protecting their family from a dangerous man. But Harry, haunted by what he’s done, can’t find peace.
Billy and Honey step in
Meanwhile, Billy and Honey arrive at Nicola’s door, worried about what’s unfolding. Billy insists they need Phil’s help; if anyone can get Teddy out of this mess, it’s him. Billy knows Phil’s lawyer, Ritchie Scott, is the best shot Teddy has at avoiding a murder charge.

When Phil is brought into the loop, he promises to ‘see what he can do’, but the odds are already stacked against Teddy.
As the night wears on, Nicola receives a phone call from Teddy that changes everything. His voice trembles as he delivers the news: Ritchie, Phil’s lawyer, came to see him, and it’s bad. Despite his cooperation and his claim of self-defence, Teddy tells Nicola that he’s going to be charged with murder.
The call leaves Nicola shattered.
Tonight’s episode ends with Nicola and Harry in pieces, torn between his father’s sacrifice and his own conscience. Nicola is left to pick up the pieces as she tries to keep Barney calm and hold the family together, all while knowing the truth is bound to come out sooner or later and coming to terms with finding out she’s pregnant.
